Jaymi's set only comes in one gauging, TI JF344.
The CL in Fender 9050CL tells you what the gauges are.
Etc.
I had this posted for sale only because I was going in debt almost and my MID blue ric 4003 wasnt selling, well it sold so I am officially keeping this one. Its put together better and a real gem I bought it 2 weeks ago and it was NOT because of the blow out sale that happened in august on MID this bass was not paid unitl mid october , so its barely over a month old.

Ok so the story goes as follows.
I had a MID 4003, loved the tone but looks wise i always perfered mapleglo. I decided to call musiciansfriend one day, this was 2 weeks ago.
A rep answers and I tell them i got a ric from them previously and it was a big sale in the blue color only. I tell them i paid 1104$ for that one. I then tell them I am interested in buying another but after paying so little for the blue one its hard for me to pay 1950$ for a mapleglo one .
Thats all i said, i didnt ask her to knock any money off. She replied let me talk to my manager, she came back and said sorry that was a big sale we cant do that but how about 1270$?
My jaw dropped but i remained cool and said yeah that works. She asked what color I wanted and I said mapleglo.
That was that. A day later I got a coupon code in the mail and it was for 15% off , i called them up and a guy said he couldnt apply it since I already got a discount. I called again 2 days later and the lady applied the discount and 190$ or 15% of 1270$ was refunded to me. Making my total 1080$ , i didnt pay tax as I am in oregon.
I am not saying this will work, but you can try. Just say my buddy got one in august for XXXX$ and I am sure they will work with you , they are flexible and if not call back for another agent. I think youd be hard pressed to get one as cheap as mine but I think 1300$ would be possible.

Youd be suprised, MF and GC are bloated with gear , this economy hasnt helped sell instruments and arund the holidays deals are to be had, I honesly thought the best they would do for me was 1500$ but that wasnt the case .
For those interested in a ric , i would give it a shot.
I don't want to flood this thread with off-topic stuff, so please don't call me stupid. A friend of mine told me that his/most Rickenbaker basses have 2 output jacks, one for each pick-up. Does this mean it cannot be played normally, through one output? Would only one pick-up work?

It's not like that. The 4001/3 has two output jacks indeed, but the first one sends the regular mono signal. It's the one to be used in any common situation.
The second one is the stereo output jack, which splits both pickups' signal, so each one can be sent to a different amplifier. To do that, you need a stereo Y-cable. Rickenbacker used to sell a kit specifically designed for that task, called the Rick-O-Sound.
But again, you only need the first output jack for getting a conventional mono output from your Ric.
I've got a MID on back order. I would much prefer a MapleGlo. Maybe it's time to try calling again. I wouldn't even care if I did pay $1300.I was just waiting for someone to ask
