Notice the number of bids on these types of auctions.

No one's profiting, if no one is buying.

These types of auctions get relisted multiple times from what I've seen.

It's not a whole lot better in the U.S.

They seem to actually sell in the $1500-$1900 range over here, although I see lot's of buy it now's north of $2000. Don't see many selling that high though.

They will just keep posting and posting until someone does buy, and someone always will. Rics are extrememly rare in continential Europe and in high demand-We all know what that equals= High prices!

Bought via eBay from a guy in the US because if you order one from the authorised German dealer, you usually wait for around 18 - 24 (!) months. And it's more expensive, too! Don't know why it has to be this way...

The horseshoe bridge pups? Nowadays it's just for looks and a little extra shielding around the pup. Didn't used to be just for show IIRC, I think the pickup actually went around the strings on the old frying pans and such.
