Why would they want me to email them instead of PMing them back?
It's almost word for word the kind of scam email I get on craigslist all the time. There is no "more information about the selling", if anyone has seen my posting of my Danelectro, I wrote a huge long post of details about the instrument and there are something like 10 pictures

Just my 2¢, but I'm not sure that's a scam.

Eh, I suppose it's possible, I've just done a lot of business on craigslist and that is the kind of thing you see all the time, when you contact them they want some crazy exchange process with checks and money orders that will result in you being left with a bad check and/or having lost your instrument.

Perhaps I will just ignore the response then. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

What a cool group... I'm waiting on a locally available Dano VIer, but was really tempted by the Hellcat and the Ultra VI from Schecter, too.. I think the 24-fret neck and the brightness of the pickups got me on the Dano. Shame they don't make the Ultra VI with the DD single-coils - just too dark with the mahogany/set-neck/humbucker combo for me. But, I'm excited.. Thanks for all the info over the posts - this has been the only place I've really been able to get a sense of how they perform compared to each other. YouTube is sometimes a barren wasteland, though I appreciate the efforts of those who have posted demos.

How much cheaper is the Dano than the HCVI? The HCVI does have the single-coils you prefer........You can always order one online and compare it to the Dano and keep the one you like best.

Just got an early birthday present from 'the old lady'! Eastwood Sidejack Bass VI! I'm pretty blown away out-of-the-gate... Great tone, plays remarkably well after shipping from Canada & is so dang groovy!!! Stay tuned for detailed review and multimedia!!!

Haven't played any other Bass VI's to compare it to, honestly. I do know that this is going to be a great new studio tool & perfect in my surf/punk outfit!

Very happy with everything about it so far! Staying in tune, good string balance, real bass tone. Very responsive to right-hand technique subtleties too.

Yup. They actually work too. Just spent about 15 minutes fine-tuning the truss rod and intonation. No rattle or 'ping' from this setup. It's obviously all import parts, but it's all pretty darn tight. The bar itself has a little 'slop' (typical on Jazzmaster trems), but a little tape or shrink tubing on the arm will cure that.

Which is why I prefer hard-tails/TOMs on VIs. Always found trems rather non-effective with these thick strings. Not to mention the intonation and staying in tune issues.

FWIW, my favorite of these VIs is the new Schecter 2012 Hellcat VI. Fires on all cylinders for me. Hard-tail, fantastic, genuine Seymour Duncan SJAG-1 single-coil pups, great tone and rather affordable.

I thought I might need to 'anchor' the trem altogether, but it's staying in tune really well! The 'slop' I speak of is just the removable arm itself having about 1/64" of "play" before it moves the plate.

I'm finding that the trem, while subtle, is really nice on 'verbed-out sustained notes! Worth trying!

Thank you!

I'm probably gonna try some heat-shrink tubing I have laying around. It will compress slightly and is removable if it doesn't work/last.

The trem arm is not a big deal,... just that everything else is buzz/vibration/clickity-clack free, so I'm trying to really 'perfect' it!
