Thank you - as much as I always seem to want to get them on in a hurry, I've found that slow & steady always wins this race. Using the strings as a guide usually does the trick.
Those decals are really nice looking. I thought about getting the Pacman ones (might be from a different seller) for my acoustic guitar, but wasn't sure how they'd hold up.
Just wanted to share a photo of my SR375M. I just got it back from being fret leveled - the tech who did the fret level did a stunning job. It plays like no body business now, insanely low action up & down the neck and zero fret buzz. I had to call and compliment the man after I got a chance to play it at home and test it out thoroughly.
Anyway, I also wanted to spruce up that Maple fretboard with some block inlay stickers from Jockomo (E-bay). Wasn't sure how it would look, but I think I dig the new look.

Those decals look great! I've got this very same bass and I'm in love with it, it might be one of the inexpensive models but it surely plays and looks like a higher end bass.
Thanks PDGood - I've had good experiences with these. I still have sets on a couple of basses from 3-4 years ago and still going strong - no sign of coming off at all. Roundwounds have been used on those basses the entire time.

I love my 375M - the Maple body & neck give it a different tone than my SR705 and it's great to have both as tonal options to choose from. The fret level makes it an absolute joy to play. It plays on par with my 705, dare I say a smidge better.
I forget sometimes how much a good fret level improves an instrument. I may take in my SR705 next - it plays like a dream now, but the perfectionist in me knows that there is always room for improvement.

Hey guys, first of all I'd like to join the sdgr club. I have sr1200nt which is a very nice bass to play but there will be a pickup/preamp upgrade in the future but ATM I need some help sourcing a replacement veri/mid stacked pot, I snapped the shaft off. Any ideas where to source one?

If you have a local luthier who does good work, I wouldn't hesitate at all. That's a great looking instrument and would be even more amazing with the fretwork professionally touched up. I will be bringing my SR705 back to my local place in the next month or two as well for a good evaluation to see if there is the even the slightest high fret or two (which I think there is here & there). A good fret level is always money well spent IMO.

8 lbs is really nice. I'm a weight junky as the old injuries are kicking in pretty good.
I'm going to do it. I think there is someone close in Arlington that I've heard good things about. I put some GHS Precision Flats on it last night and have been tweaking on it. Its playing nicely. But I bet I could get the strings a little lower with a level. And take care of some sharp ends as well.
Accuired a DWB-3...So, If anyone got a DWB they dont use, I might be very intrested (The one on Ebay is slightly overpriced for what I have seen they go for usually, even though it is absolutly worth it)

Congratulations! I have a DWB-2 at home, they're a bit different than the DWB-3s. They're more like a hybrid of a SR-800 and a Spector. Same basic shape as a SR, but with a curved body, and high gloss neck and body finish a la Spector.
It's one of the best basses I've ever owned. In my experience it's tough to find one that's not being used as a result ;-)
Here is my 95 what i believe is a Sr 800. I have checked the catalouge from 95 and it looks like a Sr 800. But it says made i Korea on the neck. Anyway i bought it dirt cheap and the electronics was a mess so i changed it out for EMG pickups and BTS preamp. The nut was broken so i replaced it with a adjustable brass nut.
I recently got an older Ibanez Sr400 that I love the look and feel of but the love stops there. Sound-wise, my GSR200 is stronger, which is sad. I want to give the 400 some love and replace the pickups. It is currently an active pickup, and it has 5 tone knobs.
I've researched and found many use DiMarzio pickups as a replacement for these basses. Are these also active, and does that matter if they're not? I play mostly classic rock, blues, and reggae at the moment. To me, at this point, I would be fine having either.
Will new holes need to be drilled to accommodate different pickups, and once a bass is altered this way, will this affect the bass in any way?
And finally, I will not attempt this myself but instead, bring it to a guy that refurbishes guitars... is this a fairly easy process?
I hope to hear from anyone whose done this with their Soundgears. Thanks everyone!

Chances are the DiMarzio pickups are passive (99% of pickups are usually passive) and will work just fine with the active electronic preamp/eq in your bass.
If you are referring to the enlarging the pickup cavities of where the existing pickups are residing - it depends on if the dimensions of the DiMarzio pickups are larger than your existing stock pickups and just won't fit in the existing pickup cavities, then yes this will probably need to happen. The only thing this would affect would possibly be the resale value of the bass as some people are put off sometimes if the bass is altered in such a manner.
With the exception of widening/enlarging the pickup cavities (may not even be required), replacing the existing pickups would be a very easy task for most repair places and shouldn't cost too much. I would speak to the shop about prices and let them know the exact DiMarzio pickup model number(s) you are wanting to install in your bass. They should be able to give you an accurate price quote at that point.
