By the way, Got the 3005 all adjusted and finally got some playing time in. WOW. it's phenomenal!

Very nice job...your attention to detail is strong. I bet they sound as good as they look. You've given me a new target to shoot for when I start my quest for a 5er.

I got this one on a steal for $350. KingRazor found it on the GC site but didn't have the bank. So I pulled the trigger and traded in my 885. Genereally, I've seen them going for $650-1000, but if you can find one for $500-650, take it.

Righteous Thunderer - Thanks, you gave me a reason to actually take the pics, I' glad they're good. Amazing what an iPhone can do.

TinIndian - Thanks!

Your after pics make me wish I hadn't told anyone...

No, but seriously congrats on the bass. She's a beauty. I know I'll have my own eventually.

It sucks not having a job.

I know how it goes, I got canned from my old job 3 days after my birthday (end of August) and just started working again last week. Luckily I banked and saved up, so I had some survival money, but yeah. It's rough, I definitely feel for ya.

I prefer the feel of the Wenge necks, the have a smoother feel, the Jatoba necks feel waxy.

This.

The wenge/bubinga neck was amazing; the new one...let's say it's just ok. And call me crazy but I'm hearing a difference between the older SRs and the current models - for ex my 07 SR500 sounded deeper and with more lows compared to my new SR505, which has a more high mid focused voice...
