I'm not including my SR950TT since the preamp is fubar which will be replaced sometime this year. Also, my Cerro is hanging in my friends studio today (such a great bass):

Picked up this sr505 2007 on the cheap with case. Plays very well. I was going to flip it but not sure now. Neck is better than my srff805! The bridge is corroded a bit. How can it be polished? Or can it? What is a fair price on these?

That bridge does not look like it could be cleaned up to me (but I might be wrong). If it really bothers you, Ibanez parts store probably has one.

Did you change the 5th (low-B) string? It doesn't appear to have D'Addario low-B purple ball end.

Yes! DR Fat beams 45-130. I'm waiting on a set of DR Pure Blues.

Then it's kinda odd. As I said before, the low-B string doesn't look like to have D'Addario purple ball end trademark. As if you've received the bass with the low-B string which wasn't the factory installed one.

How do you like the Fat-Beams with that new Ibanez electronics set (the Aguilar Super Double)?

I honestly didn't notice, a factory oversight. I think with this bass I'm going to prefer nickel strings more than steel. I like the fat beams on a J bass.

The top wood grain patterns look great on that particular one.

so it is very odd indeed... what strings do you have on it right now?

I put on a new set of D'Addario EXL 170-5. The new B has a colored ball so not sure what they used stock. It did sound consistent with the other strings which were definitely D'Addario.

I just changed strings too to my usual D'Add Prosteels (EPS300-5), and the 127T B string has a purple ball end.
