SR Mezzo seems cool. Might try to find one locally to try, this weekend. It'd be nice if they had one with a leeetle higher quality. But they are super lightweight, so that's cool. Most of them on sweetwater are under 8lbs.
Yeah, Ibanez should put out a Prestige or a Premium that is short or medium scale length, especially for us players who have physical issues. But they seem to aim their Mikros and Mezzos towards children or young players. I like the TMB30 (short scale) but, again, the componentry is meh. I guess all of these things can be modded.
Bought this a few weeks ago. The previous owner (thank you!) mod'd it with Nordstrand humbuckers (Big Splits?):

Yeah. Big Singles, Splits, and Fat Stacks will all look exactly the same.
*HOWEVER, I'm not sure if Nordstrand can make Big Splits for smaller than 17mm. So, those might be Fat Stacks.

Not the biggest fan of blue instruments but that is a beauty.
I've been looking at those on Sweetwater's site - they sure are beautiful! I'd love to see an in depth review comparing the Aguilar pu's to sound to other Ibby models with Nordy's & Barts. Pics when you can.

So how do these three beauties compare in sound, feel and weight?
The 2600 (blue) is by far the lightest, and probably the coolest looking. The 1300 (natural) is surprisingly heavy (maybe it's the ash?), and the 1400 (green) is right in the middle. I have to say I enjoy playing the 1400 the best, but I'm not exactly sure why. Let's be honest, unless you've got the Bionic Woman's hearing, you're not gonna hear any difference in the sound between any of these. I guess the neck just feels more substantial and the weight is "just right". The 2600 neck, for all it's different woods, feels more like plywood than the others. Turns a lot of heads, though.
