Ok, was just wondering. I use Ibanez MRB300 cases that are also a molded interior. I guess they'll do just fine. Thanks for your quick response.

Anyone here know if the newer Accu-cast B500 bridge (with the adjustable saddles) would fit in the same route as the older Accu-cast B20 bridge?
I have a used MIJ SR inbound from guitar center - serial# is F208513, which makes it a '92. I could not find any info on the model# from the GC staff or searching the Ibanez catalogs, but my best guess is it's an SR600 in trans blue ash body with passive pickups. Looks like pups may have been replaced by EMGs. Anyone have more info they could share?

Thanks! that seems like the most likely candidate.
Looks like the stock P1/J1 pups were also replaced - I'm assuming I'm not missing out on anything with those.
I bought one of those GSR105EXMOL & TBH I think it's a helluva bass for the money.
The output is on par with my old SRX & it's surprisingly bright given the pickup position.
Not too keen on 5 strings, but it's the lightest bass I've ever owned (only slightly over 3 kg).
The body is poplar, but when I looked at poplar basses on SweetWater.com, none were this light.
Well, my point was that it sounds amazing for what it is & the neck is stiffer than I expected.
The neck is 1.5 mm thicker at the 1st fret than a standard SR neck, but I don't even notice when playing it.
Been looking to buy a pre-owned 4-string version & probably immediately upgrade the machine-heads to GOTOH.
Maybe replace the bridge with a B100, with the quick-release.
something to play when I'm too old & frail to support my 3.6 kg SR1800E
They've jumped $20 in price since year-end, used to be only $160.
I just wish the pickup had more than two wires for a series/parallel switch.
Unfortunately the local Ibanez dealer stopped carrying that model & they only have the P/J GSR200 models, which are apparently their best seller.
There's 40 of the GSR100 in stock at the Ibanez warehouse.

The 1992 MIJ SR700G arrived today! Looks like the previous owner did replace the pups with the standard active EMG P/J set. She's heavier than my others - looks like northern ash, but tonally warmer with a much thicker fundamental. I'm guessing it's the qualities of Japanese sen vs ash.
Also, it has a 42mm nut vs the 38mm nuts on my other SRs, and the best fretwork of the bunch.

the grain on that transparent blue looks great. one of my favorite colors. it would match an SR2500 well.
Are there any higher end SR 5 strings with a maple fret board besides the new Adam Nitti 5 string? Either now or in the past

Has anyone picked up the new SR2400 yet? Look very nice and just curious what thoughts are on it. I have two older SR, a 91 SR800 and a 94 SR1300. The 1300 was my main bass for about 12 years until I bought my first Warwick. Both mine have the P/J pickup setup, so I am sure they sound pretty different from mine. Just wondering if anyone had a new one and experience with older ones. I went back a bunch of pages but didn't see any references to this. Thx

Man! I'm not much of a fan of maple fretboards (and I acknowledge is mostly because of aesthetics), but those are preeeeeeeetyyyyyyyyy
I'd love to get a SR2505M in Blue. I've been dreaming of one of these but I don't know what those CAP J pickups sound like. I see there's one from Japan on the Bay, but I'm broke after updating my amp.
Enjoying this blue one, my latest Soundgear, though this amazing rig. This SR2605 has amazing playability and sounds huge. Definitely more P-like with bite but can get super hifi for the fancy playing stuff. Oh, and my pedalboard loves her...
