The Soundgear Club

My Ibanez SR 400 uses the older B20 bridge does anyone know if the newer bridges are the same size to fit in the route? The B20 it's no longer available and I would really like to change the hardware out to gold instead of the black chrome that it is. I don't know I just think gold on the purple would look fantastic

Here are my Soundgears. Super comfortable to play. Ironically the one on the left is my favorite even though it's the cheapest of the 3

here's a B20:

& my own B100 bridges: BTW, the B10 & B100 have the same screw-pattern.

At a glance, I'd say the B100 or B10 will not fit w/o doweling & re-drilling.

I had to dowel some screw-holes in my GSR100EX & TBH I just used some chop-sticks from our kitchen!

I am not worried about the screw holes I am more concerned about the route in the bass that the bridge sits in...but thanks for the heads up on the hole pattern being different

Anyone know; Does darkglass make a 3 band pre that has vol, bal, stacked mid & bass/treble[stacked] taht would work in an older sr300 with just vol, bal, bass & treble? tahnx PawleeP

The Darkglass Tone Capsule uses a high-mid control instead of treble, and it doesn't come with volume or balance:

I suggest you use the premap-selector tool at Best Bass Gear to see what configurations match your needs:

I know EMG makes a preamp with that configuration because I'm looking for something like that for the Mezzo:

It's a mid control. It changes the mids from finger style (mids slight boost) to slap (midcut heavy cut)
thanx man. am debating changing this pre amp to a nord, glock, darkglass or going passive vvt.
not sure if these sr300 pups are the issue. but, the g string sounds a little weak, even after tweaking the tilt of the pups(s)
any ideas appreciated! p

possibly the string is bad. Or the pickup might have to be raised a bit more. I think the preamp is ok ish. I usually leave the mid control full counter clockwise (fingerstyle) It seems more natural sounding. If anything I would use a preamp pedal and just use the on-board preamp for slight adjustment to the room or the song you are playing.

I was kinda thinking the one string was going dead too.

They look like they have been on the thing [i just got it] awhile yet don't look like they have seen much playing.

Guess changing the one string would give me my answer!

Thanx ya'llz

If you just got it I would recommend getting a whole set of strings not just the one. that way it's all fresh and new to you.

What position is flat for the mid control on the sr300 in question?
Is it cut only or boost only?
