The Soundgear Club

Thanks DANiMal!
I do have this Abalone inlay almost 1 inch tall and want to get it installed in the headstock but I am having a heck of a time finding someone around my area that can do simple inlay work. The wood is already raw now after sanding off the finish. It is basically prepped and ready for the inlay...I'll keep trying to find someone :D

That's gonna look sweet. Can't wait to see it when it's all done.

I'm really wanting a new bass now, oh boy.

That inlay definitely takes it up a notch, Wow!

I found a guy not to far from me that has been doing inlay work for 25+ years :hyper:
He doesn't normally do inlays on instruments but I sent him pics and he said no problem. Especially since I already took the finish off the headstock :D I'm going to take it to him on Wednesday and should have it back in 3-4 days he said :bassist:

Here's mine....'89 SR2000, 18v EMG's, neck through, HB bridge....one bad Soundgear! :bassist:

Cool SR! Haven't had a chance to play an early one like that which is neck through, but I bet it plays and sounds great.

That bass is a reminder that when the Soundgear line first came out back in '87- they were built to be and marketed as high end basses; and were totally different animals then the Korean SR'S (500, 400, 300) that came out in the mid '90's which were specd to be entry and mid level instruments.

TK. Did you replace the hardware on that 1200? I like those but don't dig gold hardware.

Yup! Changed that Gold hardware out for the Cosmo Black hardware...I wasn't fond of the Gold hardware at all ;) Also sanded off the headstock finish along with the Gold SDgr logo exposing that nice Rosewood grain on there and added an Abalone truss cover :D

Nice 1200 you've got there!

The list is updated, if you're looking for your number, I have the complete list on Page 3.

Thrill-House, do you have a ramp on your bass? it looks like the whole center is flat black. I know they use different wood for the wings of the body, but you're just looks sick.

aproud1, doesn't look that beat up!

Nope, no ramp. Middle section doesnt have a quilt on it like the wings do i suppose. Wouldnt need a ramp anyway, the neck pickup is in a good spot to anchor on.
