Ok....just pulled the trigger on the Redstone. Impulse buy - totally wasn't needing anything at the moment.....but I really want to see if it will take over my Saturn for a low gain OD.

I’m wondering if I could get some Mercury IV type tones with this. I loved that pedal
Everything looks good from here. You keep your compressor exactly where I would place mine.View attachment 4680663
Naturally just after I buy an Apollo. Anyway it Sounds great with Rickenbacker. Getting really difficult to think anything I want to upgrade here.
Very curious to hear how it retains bass and to get an idea of the midrange frequencies. Enjoy when you get it.Out for delivery.....
With the suggested setting of bass and treble at minimum, with mid at noon, it's just a touch light on low-end.Very curious to hear how it retains bass and to get an idea of the midrange frequencies. Enjoy when you get it.![]()
Dave, you know I love the Saturn VI, and have recommended it multiple times.I'm looking forward to hearing reviews as well. I was tempted to try grabbing a Redstone but I'm extremely happy with the three pres/drives, including the Saturn VI that's my standard, always-on tone, that are on my board now. Plus I have another 7 or 8 drives that aren't on my board but I like too much to want to get rid of. So I really don't need any more.
Somehow rational thought and reason won out in this case and I decided not to trying ordering one just yet. But, who knows? Reviews and demos could always change my mind.
Exactly what I didn’t want to hear.Dave, you know I love the Saturn VI, and have recommended it multiple times.
The Redstone is my new go-to.
It's character is incredible, and delivers a drive tone that is so even, I'd swear there was a compressor running.

Same. Wallet ->Exactly what I didn’t want to hear.
…and yet exactly what I wanted to hear!![]()

are you running 9v or 12v? My Saturn is my favorite low drive pedal ever, but you’ve tempted me to try and oust it.Dave, you know I love the Saturn VI, and have recommended it multiple times.
