Rondo Music has some nice guitar hard cases for a good price. a B stock for $50 that should fit well.
Here's how the Mini-P and the Strat compare. A rectangular case or gig bag for a strat should work fine. Note the wider headstock on the bass.

i was told that the indian rosewood restrictions were lifted. there probably is still a hassle, though.
Bummer. Is it rosewood or shipping hassle, because, I think he uses other woods, too.

Chances are it's not recognised as a musical instrument component under the regs.
There were 2 or 3 sellers for this case as a "Guitar Case" since it fits a Strat. I think it was around $65 - less than a used one! Other sellers had black ones.
