Would anyone here be interested in buying the carbon fiber pickguard I originally made for my bass? The CF cost about $75 and I have probably 6 hours of time making it. I'll sell it for the cost of the CF. Just PM me if you want it.

Nice! Would that work on a fretboard? My Bronco has the palest neck of all time.

While working on my bass yesterday, it occurred to me for the first time that they don't give us the word Precision in the decal. Just Mini.

Nice! Would that work on a fretboard? My Bronco has the palest neck of all time.

It might be sticky and difficult to apply to a f.b.
I wiped it on quickly using a blue shop towel.
I also applied a thin coat to the back of the neck and this morning I removed most of it
with a green pad, then finished with polishing paper. It’s now smoother than factory.

I decided to put a few decades of wear on it.

Fender has always oversprayed guitars with flawed finishes. It’s more cost effective than stripping it and starting over. Obviously it’s even cost effective on these cheap squiers. Bonus
for me.

You obviously have good self control... With a beginning platform that good I would be chipping off outer paint all over that bass to get a more splotchy effect! -It makes me twitchy just to think about it!!

Ahhhhh... I once had a Danlectro Longhorn with a moveable wood block assisted bridge, so I thot that's what that was. I know the sponge trick too..

The early Mustang Basses has a tight cell black foam block that worked really well. My 67 Mustang had one and I wish could find the foam block Fender used back then
