Squier Mini CV 60’s Precision Bass
This project started August 2020, a few months after the Mini’s became available. I have a CV 60’s Jazz made in the early 2010’s and love the build quality, the gold logo, the high mass bridge, the feel of the neck. I felt like I could reproduce that in my Mini, so I started hunting parts and making a Mini CV 60's Precision Bass. Here are the list of mods I’ve done so far:
Neck:
Vintage amber Nitro Lacquer
Custom Squier Mini gold logo decal
Walnut truss rod insert
Hipshot Ultralite HB6C 3/8 satin chrome cloverleaf tuning machines
Fully dressed, leveled, and polished frets
Body:
Stripped and painted Nitro Lacquer Sunburst
Full cavity shielding
Pickups, pots, and wiring harness from CV 60’s Precision Bass
Carbon fiber pickguard
CV 60’s Precision Bass bridge
Dunlop Strap Lock buttons
D'Addario Nickel Wound Short Scale Bass Strings - .045-.100
