I have to buy them. I don’t know how I’ll do it. I don’t really want physical media. Amazon has the whole thing on blue Ray for $150. If I were to buy all seven seasons on prime video it would be nearly twice as much. I don’t know.
Physical media is the way to go. I know for a fact movies or shows I purchased on Amazon years ago has gone away. When I did a little digging on what happened to it, the fine print says you "don't actually own it forever". That stopped my digital movie purchasing from Amazon period.
I bought them used awhile ago. A quick Google finds the DVDs for like $40-140 in today's market. Not sure if i would want Blu ray. This show was intended to be seen on VHS played on an SD TV.
It sort of makes sense, Amazon isn't going to own the rights to anything forever either. Contracts are negotiated frequently and "franchises" such as Star Trek have undergone a lot of "churn" just in the past 10 years or so.
If you own the media, let's say, on DVD, you own it forever. Unless, as in my case, you loan a season to worthless Aunt Suzie. Then it's gone forever.
I wouldn't hate it so much if it was like $35 for the entire series and I would eventually lose rights compared to $35 a season for a 30-40 year old tv program.

We saw Strange New Worlds the other night. I think they made a good start. We're looking forward to seeing what it becomes. And we also saw the last episode of Picard. I'm glad to see that Q is finally dead.
