I put together this board for an R&B/hip hop jam session last night.

This was feeding a QSC CP-12. It was glorious. Dr. Wattson is one of those devices that makes my lower gums itch. Voluptuous, thats how it sounds, big, round, and sexy.
Anyway, nothing too extreme here, just some tasteful tone shaping, sub octave, chorus, and overdrive. And I loved my tone, feel, and how I blended in the room. What was cool about last night was the confirmation. There were four other bass players who showed up, and a couple of small Fender bass combos. At times, two or three bassist at once. Alone or together, listening to other players with their own basses, or with my bass, my rig simply killed.
Some were new to the concept of a bass pedal board. I made a few fellas very happy last night, I mean, by letting them play through my rig.

Probably one of the better"just playing" reviews I've seen. I like how she kept it super relevant on what sounds it makes and the tone she was going for. I do wish she had expounded on the DI a little more.It does so much more than what the average DI can, which I think is a huge feature that will get slept on by many that could benefit from it.

Well, after waffling about this for a few weeks, I broke down and pre-ordered the Finally. I don't really need it, but my JDI is just too chunky and awkward to get a space on my compact board. I've already got an UA, which is always on for me, and I'm hoping the Finally further brings my tone fatty fat fatness. That, and I had a couple of nice NOS tubes that I need to home. No rush on mine @Sushi Box FX--from one Nathan to another--I want you well rested when you're working on it!

To be perfectly honest, that's half the reason I love Sushi Box's products... I adore Nathan's thoughtful, effective, reliable, high quality designs; but I also appreciate having excellent circuits to put my tiny collection of vintage tubes to work in.

Nathan, is the Venus X sold out? I was on the Archived Products page today and didn't see it there. It was a small run at that price point, so I figured it is.

Also, will there be more Finally V2s that are not "With Bass in Mind" styled? I missed my chance on the original V2s, and had seen you were thinking of not making more of the originals after the WBIM were gone.

Last, what are your current plans for the Single Slice compressor? It seems like you said you weren't prioritizing it for 2024. Is it still something you are going to do, in the near future?
