Another solid one, I came really close to making an offer on a Bassman, but I changed my mind at the last minute. I worked on a couple Bassman heads (a '65 and a '72) back when I was a tech in college and I remembered liking them, but I don't remember falling in love with either.
The '72 had a fun quirk for a bit though, the previous owner had installed a new output transformer and hooked it up wrong and it ended up behaving like a sub-octave fuzz. It was pretty neat until I fixed it.
I would absolutely love to own a Super Bass, but I unfortunately don't have Super Bass money rolling around. Those fetch hefty prices.
On that note, my birthday is coming up in a few months, so if anyone is wondering what to get me, I'll take a Marshall Super Bass please and thank you.
Nope, Darkglass is another one that I can't point to anything specific I don't like, but I never really connected with any Darkglass amps I played.
Also a solid guess, I would love to try out some Phil Jones stuff in person as I hear nothing but good about it, but it is not a Phil Jones.

In amongst the guesses, I’ve played about with the spacing on my board as I was worried, as I’m sure you were too, that a Neptunium wouldn’t fit (in place of the MXR M81) without a significant overhang. Thanks to the wonders of EBS flat patch cables, I managed to shunt everything up & get a whole load of extra space (relatively speaking), enough to easily fit a 1590N1 without overhang…..

I know of this terrific bloke who could most likely turn that into a stompbox.
I'm guessing an Aguilar Tone Hammer. It would be a good reference for a solid state preamp + class D amp that tries to sound like a tube amp (not my personal experience* but I read this often on TB).
* nothing against Aguilar amps, I just don't have a lot of experience with tube amps myself

WE HAVE A WINNER!
I decided my life wouldn't be complete without an SVT, and I found a local deal on an SVT-CL. I'm well aware that it weighs more than half as much as me, but as a non-gigging bassist I don't have to worry about weight because it's going to sit in my basement forever anyway.
I'm not getting the 810 fridge, but my main cab right now is an Eden 610, and I feel like they will pair well together. Combined the stack will weigh 210lbs, so that's fun.
I feel like this was the answer that everyone thought of but decided it was too ridiculous to guess, so it was of course the correct answer.
I actually owned a Tone Hammer for a bit but didn't connect with it and ended up moving it along. It didn't sound bad, but I found it to be a little too "polite" for my tastes.
