That’s helpful. Yes, basically I’m trying to replace it as a tube DI.

A friendly note, Finally v2 comes stock with a 12AU7 now, but I always have a supply of 12AX7 on hand and can swap the tubes before shipping upon request at no additional charge, just drop a note at checkout. I've had a couple people request this already because they like the option of dialing in some nice tube grit.

Is the Finally v2 what you would also recommend for a tube DI pedal as well? I’m looking to get one that can do a nice clean tone but also go full OD?

If you're looking for a tube D.I. that can do overdrive, Finally is the best option on the market in my (obviously biased) opinion. There is no shortage of great sounding tube D.I.'s out there, but all the others that I'm aware of (Noble, REDDI, etc) prefer to keep everything squeaky clean. I absolutely understand the intent, it's a lot easier to add dirt than take it away, but I just felt like there was enough of a need for a tube D.I. that could dial in some grit, and I like the character it imparts. Finally was not designed to be transparent, it's designed to add some real flavor.

I did it! I managed to build Finally v2 faster than people could order it! This almost never happens! 7 units in-stock right now.

I know it's a good problem to have and I'm thrilled that Finally v2 is by far my best-selling pedal (seriously the numbers aren't even close), but I feel accomplished when I can build quickly.

Phantom power will not fry Neptunium, but a couple people have reported getting noise from the unit when phantom power is applied.

Tube warmth without overly changing your existing tone is basically what More was created for. Personally I would run More in front of the CAB M, especially if you're using the CAB M as your D.I.

The D.I. section of Neptunium is pretty similar to the way the JDI is implemented, I don't think Radial builds phantom power blocking into them, so I'm not sure if that would help.

Underground Accelerator is probably the closest I'm likely to do in the Fender vein of things, it started life as a copy of the Alembic F-2B/Fender Bandmaster preamp and evolved a bit as I found some modifications I liked better than the original Fender design.

The UA sounds fairly twin-ish to my ears already, especially if you dial in a cab sim just right.

I have had noise issues from phantom power so often that I always carry a passive DI box any time I need to go direct live or in the studio. While the JDI is highly recommended* there are more affordable options that work just as well.

*IMHO the Radial JDI is likely the best all around passive box with great features and they are virtually bullet proof, but it is a bit heavy and larger than other options that will work just as well.

@confuoco I agree with @Sushi Box FX that the Underground Accelerator is very Fender-ish. You might try a JJ 12ax7MG if you are looking for a more Twin or guitar oriented voicing, I have one of my PA with that tube that I prefer for fretless bass, piccolo bass and guitars. I have a small tube version of the Particle Accelerator on my recording board and had a PAX 12AX7 version and prefer the Underground Accelerator for a great all around preamp, I must as I have 2 and am considering getting an updated version.

say, for example, if ones pedal board was accidentally kept on for - oh i dunno - about 36 hours....
...asking for a friend...

I think the longest I've kept one plugged in consecutively was when I forgot to unplug and went on vacation for 2 weeks (over 300 hours), and everything was still fine when I got back.
