The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

This is what the Dreamcatcher enclosures look like. I'll admit I don't hate it, but I also don't prefer it, and it's not what I ordered. I haven't updated the file for these in months, everything is the same it has always been, there's no reason there should be a white background in there.
It’s nice, I like it. The only thing is the text contoured by grey area : it’s kinda weird, and ugly in my opinion (and my opinion is weak : I’m colorblind and my tastes are… well, I don’t have any).

I just disabled backorders for the WBIM Finally v2, and as soon as I get the some units built up (probably early next week) I'll open ordering up for the now limited edition non-WBIM Finally v2.

That's a definite "Special Edition" right there! Put them up for sale and just wait and see - people will definitely be ordering them regardless of the white background. Number them with a no. x/xx number series (on the bottom with your signature) - and they'll be gone in a short while! Since they won't be coming back in that color combo - people will have a pretty unique version on their hands! ;)👌

I didn't mind it until I started to look at the white finish in the corners and other little areas.
Nothing a sandblaster and a printer couldn't fix though.
Yeah when I order artwork that goes all the way to the corners I always radius the corners now. I have no interest in refinishing them though, the amount of time required is worth more to me than the cost of ordering replacement enclosures. Also I finally gave up on fixing my printer and junked it, so I no longer own a UV printer.

And, hopefully, that discount *might* get passed on to some new @Sushi Box FX customers.

I'm more pragmatic about that - @Sushi Box FX still has a range of costs associated with these. In fact, even if the printer gives him a discount, there has already been time and effort that has cost him in dealing with the issue. So while he should get a credit, I don't feel that should necessarily flow through to customers.

Hopefully they gave you at least some discount or credit for their mistake.
They should make replacements free of charge asap and apologize for their mistake.

What discount, Sushi Box is unable to produce any income for 3-4 weeks while waiting for the correct boxes to arrive.
Hard to give a discount when you are loosing money.
It is also a loss of money having all the other components sitting around doing nothing while waiting for replacement parts, better to leave the money in the bank and earn a months interest.

It was my understanding that this was just the printer. If it is also the supplier of the enclosures, then perhaps they would be kind enough to offer free replacements. Otherwise, a discount on the improperly produced product should be offered at a minimum.

If it was just the printer then they should pay to have the boxes returned and repaint them and give them back ASAP for free, and then offer a discount on the next job.
You do not make a customers equipment un-usable and expect him to have to cover the expense of the original boxes, the printers should cover the total cost of replacements since they made the mistake.
If the printers have to pay to have the boxes stripped bare then that is a cost they should cover as well as any shipping.

The company handles enclosure sourcing, CNC milling, powdercoating, and UV printing all in one place. Typically when there's an issue they just refund it rather than offering to fix it. They're too big a shop and have too much other business to shut down their line just to fix things for me. I've kept my eyes open for additional sources, but so far none have been able to beat the service and the price.

I've had a couple people already ask about the Finally enclosures so I plan to use those, but I just may wait for the replacement Dreamcatcher enclosures rather than sell these. I'm sure I would get bombarded with emails if I were to delay Finally builds for 3 weeks, but people aren't usually beating down the door for Dreamcatcher.

Understood.

That reminds me I have to order 12 enclosures that are milled powder coated and uv printed this weekend as well, and I haven't even checked the 1590BB2 drill template for my little 1-2 watt tube amp yet properly.
I did not realize they were that slow at the moment to make the enclosures, if I don't get the order in this weekend the parcel might get stuck in the Xmas rush.
Anything anyone wants before Xmas should be ordered very soon, it's crazy how many extra parcels are mailed from October onward.

Went ultra simple on this pedal floor for the sake of seeing what the More does.

The More gives more of its more for sure on my bass with round wounds than when I tried it with flats. It also becomes more at higher amp volumes. The quiet bedroom volume doesn't give you as much difference as you get when the walls are shaking.
