The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I was going to say the same thing!! Nobelium would be my pick for the closest (worth noting, my Nobelium has a Jensen transformer). That said I think both are within spitting distance of the Noble.

From what I understand:
The closest would be the Nobelium, Sushi did a limited run of the pre-built pedals a while back.
The Neptunium is a scaled down version of the Nobelium, the Neptunium does not have the "Cab Sim" section for the 1/4" output but the XLR is the same as the Nobelium.
The Nobelium is very much like the Noble, if you ripped the big heavy power supply out of a Noble and installed a light weight power supply that can run on 9-12V input.
There is always the Nobelium DIY PCB that Sushi sells through his C2CE shop, or the kit from Musikding, if you or a friend can build pedals.
Some people who built the Nobelium used only 1 Tube, they only wanted to use the XLR so they did not build the 1/4" output section that uses the second Tube.

I believe I did haha Will be using it live tomorrow.

Yeah I will do my best to make a good demo of the Neptunium covering those too. :D

Imagine a passive pedal with 1/4 in and out and an effects in and out.
Inside the housing are three transformers.
Switches on the pedal's face allow variable routing of the signal through one or more of those.
Maybe some other useful feature.

Call it the Roll Out? 😆

I feel like this wouldn't be super hard to build? But what's really cool about this idea is, once again, modularity. Imagine if Nathan completes the Firebox - you could basically have a full tube amp in a pedal board and just go direct into whatever, and you'd get the saturation from a tube pre, the transformers, and power amp saturation from the Firebox. That'd be super cool.

Stacking my LBAs now and thought how having them in a single configurable box could have advantages.
 
With the soft switching in the latest revisions do the pedals retain the switch state when powered off?
They do not retain their state when powered off, by default they are "active" when power is applied. However, you can change the default state to "bypassed" if you want:
  1. remove power from the pedal
  2. press and hold the footswitch
  3. without releasing the footswitch, plug power back into the pedal
  4. wait for the LED to flash
  5. release the footswitch
If you change your mind and want to go back to "active" at power up, just follow the steps again and it will switch it back.

If I were responsible, I would write a user manual for everything and include stuff like this.
 
Thank god you have a whole marketing department for that kind of boring stuff.

I still get a kick out of emails where people say things like "I was talking to Nathan and he said this, so you can check with him". Yeah I'll drop by his office in the engineering department and see what he says.

On that note, I completely ignored my email this weekend because my wife had some free time, so the two of us hung out in the workshop all weekend, and we figured out a great workflow and were able to complete 64 pedals in 2 1/2 days.

The manufacturing division had a great weekend, which means the R&D department and marketing team did absolutely nothing.

Sorry for the delayed answer. I meant to answer your question sooner but got distracted by the UA and the groove! 😁
The relay switching defaults to "pedal on" on power cycling. But at the same time it immediately goes to "true bypass" on power loss (I guess to be able to keep playing if the psu fails) 😊👍
