Looking at the EQuator specs, bass is 130hz and treble is 7k, so not great for bass guitar. Might still work since I'm primarily looking for mid EQ.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but I am interested in a simple EQ with no coloration, or as little as possible, to put in front of The Watt. I'd prefer $200 or less so I'm looking at the MXR M81, or TC Spark or Darkglass Harmonic Booster, but I am open to any ideas. I can't really justify the function or price of something like an Empress Para EQ, three bands with a selectable mid will work.

The Broughton Resonant Filter Equalizer may be of interest. ... Ha, as mentioned above.

I'm looking at the Genzler re/Q also, it's got more features than I need but it does what I would want also.

One thing I really find cool about the re/Q is that it has the HP/LP filters on a different footswitch/circuit from the rest of the EQ. Super handy compared to most pedals where it's all or nothing.

That's what I've been using. I like it so far. I got it specifically to clean up some boominess in a venue we play regularly. It's a bit of an awkward size, but the lights are pretty, so it balances out.

I received the Single Slice off Reverb last week but i’m having an issue that’s puzzling to say the least. It’s making a high pitched, ‘modulating’ whine noise when it’s in the chain, both when turned on and off.

I had a similar problem with the Single Slice I bought direct from SBFX last year. It made that kind of sound with a More directly before the SS. That was my attempt to recreate the Deep Dish pedal. The whine was also touch-sensitive. When I took the More out of the chain, the problem stopped. The More doesn't have any problem with my other pedals. Nathan and I did some email troubleshooting, but ultimately he asked me to return the SS to let him take a look. I suspect it was a grounding issue with my house wiring, which may be the case for you as well, Tommy.

The other power supply was insufficiently robust to power both devices. Each pedal requires at least 400mA of power to operate cleanly, and 500mA per is better. And the power supply needs to be capable of delivering isolated power to each pedal. This is from this Sushi Box website:

If you're not sure if your power supply is going to work, you can add a Sushi Box branded supply for an extra $13 to your order. These are 9V 1000mA supplies and are good for powering any of the current Sushi Box pedals.Here are a few different commercially available power supplies that people have reported using without issue:

• Cioks DC7 @ 9v setting
• Strymon Zuma with Voodoo Lab PPAP current doubler cable
• Truetone 1 Spot

My Source Audio PEQ2 works great with my Finally v1. It's a little complicated and possibly overkill for your stated needs but it can be had around $200 used. It's worth checking out to see if its additional features could be of use for your setup.

You can probably find a Boss GEB7 in the classifieds pretty cheap.
I've had one on my large board for years just for a slap contour.

• What is the range of the volume control? Can it go to zero? Can it boost above unity gain?
• Can the output drive a low-impedance load (5K or even lower)? Is anybody using it to drive a power amp directly?
• Does the nature of what "more" it gives change with volume control adjustment? Or is it just related to the level of the input signal?

I'm sure these questions have been asked (and answered before)... but finding them in 26,112 posts is difficult and I'm sure many folks here can answer them quite easily, so TIA if you can indulge me.

More can go to zero, and it can definitely boost above unity gain.

The output impedance of More is around 500ohms, so it should have no problem with a 5k load.

The volume control is just a volume control, it doesn't affect how much "More" is coming out of the tubes.

For what it's worth, I find unity gain with my Moore to be just a bit shy of noon, so there is plenty of room for volume boost if you slam it all the way to full.

i’m also using a Cioks Sol. I suspect the issue I’m experiencing has to do with the HPF on the Finally and maybe not so much with the SS. But i’m awaiting response from Nathan
