Though this Much More discussed above is interesting, I’m still waiting for information on the previously hinted at Furthermore!

UA Deluxe and Elementary Deluxe were developed on the road to Furthermore. I'm never satisfied with designs for very long which is why I revise things so often, and Furthermore has always been ambitious enough of a project that I'm constantly throwing away parts and replacing them because "oh maybe this will be cool".

I no longer offer custom builds and one-offs, so finish options that were previously available on custom builds are no longer available (which has been the case for a couple years now).

I was able to Add To Cart, and go to the checkout/shipping selection.

The thing that catches me often on the site is the required selection for including a power supply. The “Add To Cart” is disabled until you make that selection.

I did see it’s on backorder, but I think I would’ve been able to complete payment from what I saw.

Where are you getting hung up?

In regards to the 1/4 inch and XLR outputs, I assume the high impedance, unbalanced, instrument level signal from my bass is being output as a low impedance, balanced, line level signal. Is this correct? Is there a difference between the outputs in this regard? Thx!

The 1/4" output is relatively low impedance, but it is unbalanced. Only the XLR provides a balanced output signal.

Got it. I'm running the Nobelium into a Roland KC-200 keyboard amp. I've been using the 1/4 output and am quite happy, but was wondering if it would be worth it to try the XLR output (gotta get a cable, tho). I'll give that a go, too.

Tried again this morning and everything worked perfectly. Finally V3 inbound!

The dlxe versions look great. Makes sense to me-these are proven, outstanding preamps, each with its' own flavour, and now they are available in a more complete package.

I received the Single Slice off Reverb last week but i’m having an issue that’s puzzling to say the least. It’s making a high pitched, ‘modulating’ whine noise when it’s in the chain, both when turned on and off. The weird thing is, whenever I turn either my overdrive (Singular Audio Tube Drve), or my octaver (Broughton Subsonic) ON, the whine stops. The whine also stops when I turn OFF the HPF on the Finally V3. This ‘fix’ only occurs if these pedals are AFTER the SS in the chain. I tried different outputs, both 9 and 12 V on my Cioks Sol, different power outlets, rooms etc and the problem persists. My Cali76 CB compressor in the same spot works fine. Anybody got a clue what’s going on? I’ve already sent an email to Nathan, but maybe someone here could chime in what could be the cause of such an odd problem?

Edit: Flipping the ground switch on the Finally doesn’t fix it

I had a similar problem with the Single Slice I bought direct from SBFX last year. It made that kind of sound with a More directly before the SS. That was my attempt to recreate the Deep Dish pedal. The whine was also touch-sensitive. When I took the More out of the chain, the problem stopped. The More doesn't have any problem with my other pedals. Nathan and I did some email troubleshooting, but ultimately he asked me to return the SS to let him take a look. I suspect it was a grounding issue with my house wiring, which may be the case for you as well, Tommy.

So I had an issue with my 1st More, nothing to do with y'alls problems. But when Nathan decided to send me a new More I ordered a Single Slice to go with it.

I use a Cioks DC7 and Crux Converter for board power. I also run a dual FX loop / AB-Y box (Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things) as the heart of my board setup.

FX Loop 1 is for my "Gain" & FX 2 is for "Modulation"

I begin FX 1 with a Single Slice into a Microtubes B3K > Way Huge Pork N Pickle > Boss GE7 EQ and end with the More.

The Single Slice & More are always on, everything else is as needed. If I try to run the SS & More off of the Crux Converter with a Y cable, there's plenty of milliamps to do so, like 2700mA at 9v, but I do get line noise, a very low whine. Of course the solution was to run the More off of the Crux Converter & the Single Slice off of the DC7. It has been flawless ever since.

Don't know if this helps any. Just my experience with those two pedals.

I would prefer the 4 band preamp; AND these kind of units would be far more useful with addition of 9V supply jacks(s). FWIW

I was on the fence about that, but really it came down to keeping cost and size down.

From a user standpoint, the cost would come down to whether the additional dollars were more or less than the additional CIOKS supply required otherwise.

And as a designer the extra cost is going to depend on how much juice you're trying to get out of an onboard supply. If you're trying to get multiple isolated 9V 660mA taps, the size is going to get incredibly large and the pedal will get very expensive. I appreciate the appeal of a single AC input running an entire board which is why I considered it, but trying to shove it into these would lead to design compromises that I didn't think would be worth it.

All that being said, I had a weird idea while I was typing this, so we'll see where that goes.

Basically the same circuit as the original More, but uses a NOS 12AV7 instead of the 12AU7 and adds a switchable HPF ("bass cut"). It's a collaboration with Doug Weiand, guitarist for Edge of Paradise, after he used More in the loop of his Mesa Mark VII amp and enjoyed what it did for tightening and focusing his high-gain tone. It will probably drop sometime in March.

Call me a bad salesman, but if you're a bassist and already have a More v1, there isn't really any reason to get the More v2. It does look neat though.

Wow, that's a lot of capability and features in a very small box! It looks like a credible alternative to the Arkham Oracle (which by the way now needs an external power supply).

Is the 1/4" output sufficiently low impedance and high enough level to drive a power amp directly?
