Only 25 actual Sushi Box Nobeliums exist in the world, and they are all matte black (aside from one sparkly pink one), have a separate XLR volume on the side, have a pink backlit logo, and have a small black "happy little sushi roll" in the corner of the faceplate on top. On the inside, they have a black circuit board instead of purple. If anyone says they have a Sushi Box Nobelium that is missing these features, it was not built by me.

190 for a used one or 210 for a new one. I'd just buy the new one. Now if the used one was like 150, then I'd have to rethink that, maybe. I would rather support Nathan even if it meant I spent a few extra bucks.

I agree 100%. There's also a UA in the TB classifieds for 150.

So far More is the most impressive one. It’s very noticeable yet so subtle, it gives me that tube 3D/widening effect and just makes everything better. At least to my untrained ears Finally is way more subtle and hard to notice compared to More, but it has DI features.

I originally wanted to place Finally after HX Stomp to tube-ify digital sound, but More in front of HX actually sounds better to me than Finally after HX.

Now I want Evermore, or maybe Less?
Always on More and footswitch to give a bit of a boost to drive something in front of it a bit harder. Because I always want it on, but it’s useful as a boost too.

I love my More. My pedalboard has dual FX loops, one for gain structure, one for modulation. On the gain side of things it starts out with the Sushi Box Single Slice compressor and ends with a More with two OD/Fuzz and a 7 band EQ sitting in between.

I have 0 tolerance for noise or hiss in my bass signal. Most of my gigs these days are IEM gigs so the hiss really jumps out at you.
I had a conversation with a very knowledgeable friend today who told me "if hiss bothers you, stay away from tube pre-amps".
Is that true of Neptunium? Does it have some noise?
I had a Lighting boy tube DI once and returned for too much noise.
Would I be better off without tubes?

On their own, I constantly get feedback on how super quiet Sushi Box designed circuits are (in my space as a C2CE assembler). Personally, I love my Finally v.3 for how quiet it is (amongst other things).
I get much more noise from my wireless systems than anything else.

Design and implementation is more important than the digital/analogue/tube distinction. But best bet is to have a listen yourself if you know anyone with a SB pedal.

I’m quietly hopeful they are having a stern word with whomever sold it to them in the first place.

Tube gain produces hiss, no way around it, but a well-designed device will minimize it. My guitar tube amp hisses when I crank it, my Finally v3 with a 12AX7 hisses a tiny bit when I crank it into breakup. None of that is audible at performance volume or on a recording.
Both are dead quiet when clean.

The hiss is part of the tone anyway, it's why carbon comp resistors can be preferable in some amps as they add musical noise.
I don't like pristine tones. Tubes are alive!

I received the Single Slice off Reverb last week but i’m having an issue that’s puzzling to say the least. It’s making a high pitched, ‘modulating’ whine noise when it’s in the chain, both when turned on and off. The weird thing is, whenever I turn either my overdrive (Singular Audio Tube Drve), or my octaver (Broughton Subsonic) ON, the whine stops. The whine also stops when I turn OFF the HPF on the Finally V3. This ‘fix’ only occurs if these pedals are AFTER the SS in the chain. I tried different outputs, both 9 and 12 V on my Cioks Sol, different power outlets, rooms etc and the problem persists. My Cali76 CB compressor in the same spot works fine. Anybody got a clue what’s going on? I’ve already sent an email to Nathan, but maybe someone here could chime in what could be the cause of such an odd problem?

Chain:
passive P> Polytune mini> Tube drve> Single Slice, Subsonic, Finally V3 > Logic/sound console


Edit: Flipping the ground switch on the Finally doesn’t fix it
