Reminds me of tube pedals from the early 2000s

My aesthetic inspiration isn't exactly a secret, but the similarities definitely start and end with aesthetics.

EDIT: just for fun I threw both of these on the scale. The Soldano weighs just under 7 lbs, the UA deluxe weighs just under 2 lbs.

I feel like the Deluxes inch us one step closer to the inevitable Sushi Box with a fully fledged power amp in it, especially running off AC like that. Super curious to hear how they compare to the regular versions. Got a price ballpark yet?

What the dims on that thing?

Not including knobs, which poke above the height of the side wings a bit, the Deluxe units are 7" x 5" x 2". I was aiming for approximately the same size as SBVT II, but I had to stretch it a little bit to make everything fit so it's a little longer.

Or if you were referring to the Supercharger GTO, that thing is 10.5" x 7" x 3.5". The reissue (which I also own because I'm impulsive) uses a bent aluminum plate for the sides instead of the sexy machined aluminum panels, so it loses 1" of the width but drops 2 lbs, the other dimensions are the same.

Hey, does anyone have The Watt yet? I am thinking of picking it up to replace my DSM Bass Station, but am wondering what it's modeling/how it sounds. Can anyone help give me an insight? It's in the cart, so i'm ready!

While I am happy to see your designs constantly improving, evolving and reaching a broader user base I hope you continue with your previous design goals of keeping things affordable and keep the simpler versions alive as long as they are selling. For example you have discontinued several designs that IMHO deserve to still be available in particular the Slampegg Bee Pre that is excellent for getting a special flavor beloved by many with the ability to push the circuit into a bit of grunt. No shade on the Grand Slampegg but it is priced out of my ball park and missed some of the charm of the previous version without a gain control, I have seen many comment on this.

Man.. this is a potential collaboration we all need in our lives. You and Jeff could rewrite pedal history. Also TWO of the sickest customer service OG's you could ever find. Both have helped me with their pedals massively.

And this has been the big conundrum in Sushi Box's recent existential crisis. I love giving people what they want, and people will always want small, inexpensive, and good sounding, and I've been happy to provide, but getting all three of those in one box means there are some design compromises.

But at the same time, I love improving things, and I will continue to chase whatever version of "perfection" is floating around my mind any given week. Improving things means I'm designing out the compromises, getting ever closer to that elusive perfection. But with design improvements, as you can see, there is additional cost, both in size and in, well, cost.

The Deluxe series are my attempt to make "big boy" pedals, pedals with no compromises, pedals with no room to say "yeah, but..." This is a shift from my usual brand of "budget boutique", and I've been grappling with it the whole time I've been working on these. Finally is $250 because I want everyone in the world to own one. But Underground Deluxe took a lot more work to design, and I'm more proud of the results. My goal was to design something that 5-years-ago-Nathan would look at and wet himself out of sheer awe.
