I got the above error as well (got there via link to ambassadors page posted above, NOT from just typing the url), but then it resolved. I cant reproduce it

Totally get it. This is TalkBass, though. It's a guitar so you don't need to say what it weighs. Most of our bassist friends have no idea scrawny guys like Randy Rhoades and Jimmy Page were slinging 12.5 pound guitars.It showed up yesterday and it is amazing. This thing is like a sexy contoured tele with exotic woods. A bit on the heavy side, but as a les paul fan there's nothing wrong with that, it's super comfortable to hold and the neck is smooooooth. I'll probably be letting my current tele go now
That's a gorgeous top. And +++ humbuckers on a T style. That's the way to do it.

That's probably my fault right now; I'm having the hosting provider update some server-side software for me so I can speed up the pages as a whole =) They promised no interruption, but the fact you saw that says they lied!
It changed when I changed my IP if that helps, worked at first - everything was clear b4 I went there too
Ok, so it seems from reports plus my own experience, that the LUX lacks a bit of deep lows in comparison to the PAX, but does have a nicer gain character (hence the UA, which I would love to order one but they will probably be spoken for by the time I can fund, plus there is a couple of months wait anyway, which is a lifetime in GAS years). Now finally to my question. Do you think boosting lows with a good clean preamp(Mesa subway DI) after the LUX would get a very similar result to that of an Underground Accelerator?
I have this thing in my head that tells me boosting frequencies later on that aren't naturally created imparts a fake quality and lacks a certain feel. Yes I am aware that probably sounds crazy. That is probably where a good piece of EQ gear shines in the studio I guess? But that is a whole different conversation for another thread. Let's just focus on the first paragraph haha.

You can't create frequencies, it really comes down to how hard the LUX filters them. If they're attenuated but still present, you'll be able to amplify them back to levels at which you can work them in. LUX should only completely obliterate super duper low frequencies, I think the cutoff is low enough that you should still be able to crank the lows with a clean preamp after a LUX.
Once again, great answer. Time to buy a local LUX(will be my second time round). I really am hopeless at selling great pedals out of curiosity of trying others.

@Sushi Box FX will the EchoValveSaurus have any additional functions or features considering the larger case and certain higher price? Modulation or reverb perhaps? Or an additional tube gain stage like some pedals.

The current prototype is set up for the exact same functionality as the original. With the number of controls on there (5 knobs and 4 switches), even in the larger box there really isn't any room to add more controls, so any additional features (easily added through digital firmware) would have to be fixed-value always-on additions, which I don't really like. What good is modulation if you can't control speed and depth? What good is extra gain if you can't adjust it?
That being said, it's looking like Echosaurus Valve may get scrapped. If I ignore the hiss, compared A/B it sounds as good as the non-tube version, but really not much better when running through a tube amp. It was a fun experiment and I wish it worked better, but 1) I haven't been able to get rid of the noise, and 2) even without the noise the cost/benefit ratio isn't good enough to pursue it further.
So I'll be redesigning the original Echosaurus to fit into the smaller box (like Space Heater) with top jacks, and the circuit (and price) will stay the same as before.
