Bad news in August batch land:

So I'm finishing up powdercoating and getting into printing tonight, and I'm having a hell of a time getting the Violet Sparkle to stick to the boxes. Rainbow's End went on fine, so I have to assume the problem is with the powder and not the gun or the boxes. I will be reaching out to everyone in august with pictures of their enclosure to ask if they will take it as is and get a discount on their next order, or if they want me to make a new enclosure with a different finish.

Some of them are okay and the powder is just light in spots, others have areas where there is zero powder adhered to the enclosure and the bare metal is exposed.

So far none of the other finishes have been affected, but I'm also not done yet, so I'll keep everyone posted if any other colors give me trouble.

So I just pulled them out of the oven, and it does look way cooler with the powder cured. The light ones look like I purposely did a fade finish, and the ones with bare metal look like a relic job. I'll get pics when they cool down. I'll still let the customers know because nobody likes surprises, but I'm less upset about it now.

If anyone decides they don't want their violet sparkle enclosure, I was planning on building it up later as a blem and selling it at a discount, so that may be an option depending on what people decide.

I’m on the very long list for a KoT and I admit I’ve thought about not opening it and selling. It’s worth what I paid to me even if it takes a couple more years. But it’s not worth $1,000 so if prices keep going crazy…

I know. Too bad. But I like my RYRA Klone a lot and I don't worry about stepping on it. I don't own a Klon but I have played one. I admit I don't get it, I'm obviously missing something, sounded like an overdrive to me. And why is a real Centaur worth so much more than an original Dallas Arbiter?
True story, I did buy a Browne Protein and sold it online for more than $100 over list price, it was a black one in stock. Immediately ordered another new one from Browne. People are nuts.

The problem people have is patience; they have none.

I just got a kingsley maiden bf and I bet I can sell it for 200 over because it has a 6 month wait list. I'll be getting in two snouse black boxes next week and I bet I could do 100+ over on each because it's currently a 2 year wait-list (I got on the list with a 10 month wait list). If you can be patient and play with the toys you already have, you can do well.

I'm surprised that, to the best of my recollection, no one has commented that the raw enclosure signifies the highest aesthetics of sushi. Also, quality sushi has no or very little "smell." Sushi Box FX, however, are helping a growing population of musicians get their skank on.
