I didn’t get to max it out yet lest I disturb the ladies. But I will at some pointGet mine tomorrow, how's the gain/breakup? Haven't found many fender stacks with nice linear gain

This showed up today, and it's great! I've spent a few hours with it now, and here are my impressions.
It is really fat and punchy, and open, and very even across all frequencies. The bass control adds a healthy dose of lows, while the mids and treble are more subtle, the treble adding what basically sounds like more air. Still, for me, the EQ is perfect. I don't like, or need, a lot of high-end sizzle.
It has a TON of gain available!! This is going to be an always on pedal for me, I'm using it for a little overdrive, but it can get extremely dirty! At extreme levels, it sounds like a 1960's 50 watt Fender Bassman I had, cranked to the max. It's very tubey and musical!
It does get warm, but not hot. I've had it on for four hours now, and I can easily pick it up and it's still just comfortably warm.
It looks great, the graphics are really cool!
I've gone through a lot of preamps, Broughton SV-Pre, Arkham Oracle, Alembic F1-X, Aguilar Tone Hammer and DB659, to name a few. All are gone now, but this one isn't going anywhere... Unless Nathan decides to make them with a lower current draw. And even then, maybe not. I'm powering it with a 1Spot, and while I would like my pedalboard to power it, it's not as inconvenient as I thought it would be.
Next on my list from Nathan would be an Optipus, when he gets that sorted out!
But, the DR. Wattson is just an overall great pedal, and well worth the money!
The bass version.Nice! Did you get the bass version or guitar?
Yes, being able to print white is always overlooked. People don't realize how hard it is. Can that printer give the ink dimension? like a raised look if you put enough down?So this was supposed to be printed in black, but I forgot to uncheck a box before hitting print. WhoopsStill a pretty good proof of concept, as it will be nice to have the option to print white over a dark finish.

Yup, on my first couple prints I didn't know what I was doing and went with 200% ink density, that gave a nice raised look. This is at 50% so you can feel it when you run a finger over it, but it looks more or less flat.Yes, being able to print white is always overlooked. People don't realize how hard it is. Sweet, assume there's also a prep to the metal? Haven't gotten my PA yet (lost in USPS land..) but I'm assuming it has a transparent coating over everything?Yup, on my first couple prints I didn't know what I was doing and went with 200% ink density, that gave a nice raised look. Don't we all!!!Do I need therapy? (other than G.A.S. therapy).
On my current builds that are laser engraved it's just powder over a sanded raw enclosure then lasered and lightly buffed to clean up the lasered areas, no clear coat.Sweet, assume there's also a prep to the metal? Both.Rainbow's End or Violet Sparkle for my Particle Accelerator? I can't decide...
It's literally two capacitors between the two. The guitar version has a pretty good low end already, if you want one to do double duty then I would recommend thr guitar version. I don't think a switch between the two would be that useful to be honest.@Sushi Box FX
Sorry to keep harping in this... I keep going back and forth between deciding to just order the guitar Dr Wattson, or asking for the bass/guitar tone stack on a switch. Is this even possible?
How much different are the guitar and bass versions? If I wanted to order just one that’d be suitable for double duty, which would you suggest?
I've officially axed your dibs on the Modulation Station.Both.
