The Slampegg is on another level, IMO. I've said this before, I found the Linden to add clarity and have a flexible EQ but it does not color your sound. The Slampegg sounds damn good. It actually sounds like a B-15 whereas I did not get that with the Linden. The Slampegg is tubey, has a flexible EQ and top jacks... Ha. I'm going to write a more in depth review once I have a little more time with it.
Also interested to know. I would hope it gets you close to the B15 sound, but I'm obviously pretty biased on the quality of the Slampegg.

^^ this is going to be interesting, might as well remove the Linden, great pedal, but just not in the same court. I bet its going to come down to the cab sim against actual tube presence, and I've yet to try one of these mini tubes (curse you USPS!! dmn conspiracy I tell you..) but Broughton works those JFETs amazingly you almost don't even need a tube, but again never tried any of these pedals so I wouldn't have a clue how it drives.

meh, if you want, personally I use my p15 for b15 sound, I have a flippytop but don't use it much. I really don't think any of these pedals are comparative, the Linden is just EQ, yours is a B15 preamp, the Fliptop is a entire B15 in a pedal, they all have to do with the B15n but they all do different things. a high pass after yours would essentially be the same, as a sim, but like I say I can't compare the jfets to your real tube circuit, yet - that sim knob is new to Broughton as far as I'm aware of as well
No - don't waste time on that when you could be creating other wonderful things. Tube preamps are actually tube preamps.....cab sims are just....well....sims. (I obviously am not a fan of them)

Rationally, I'm trying to resist the urge for those two and the Flip Top.
SSDI and P-15 are pretty dang solid for what I need already!
But a smaller Pedal format version of either wouldn't be the worst thing...
Oh good. I have SO MANY OTHER THINGS to be doing, I actually bought a Two Notes Torpedo because I don't really want to do a cab sim. That's a big deal, because you can probably imagine how many pedals I actually buy these days.
I'm not a huge sim guy, but I will say if you can make one that does many formats and designs in one, would probably be the way to go. A nice analog cab sim, driven by tube?? would be refreshing - I personally hate seeing a USB or *BT on a pedal
So I guess I will admit I've built SansAmp clones, that's the closest I've come to a cabsim, but honestly I really like the digital IR setup. IRs have come so far in the past 5 years alone that I've been blown away. Every demo on my website was recorded through a digitally emulated 410 bass cabinet with a digitally emulated power stage. Being able to control the thing with my phone over bluetooth is gimmicky, but I do like being able to get third-part IRs from the internet and load them into the pedal. Technology is neat

Oh yeah, I geeked out for 2 weeks over my (now sold, but to be rebought in the future..) source audio C4 and its pages of UI, but I got this tight analog thing going on haha, and even though I know its an unmeasurable amount, if at all, I hate the fact there may be latency some where <placebo>.. cool name for a pedal.. I was going to joke about ordering a pedal with 6L6/6550s but now I want to ask, have you built a power section before? Do you, have you, will you go beyond pedals into larger enclosures?I wonder if we'll ever find out...
So this is still nothing more than a funny idea that tickles my brain every now and then, but I've thought about doing like a pair of EL84 in a box for an 18W power amp. Just a 12AX7 phase inverter into the pair for 18W or so. A single tube would be easier since I could run class A and I wouldn't need a phase inverter, but with a 12AX7 and a pair of power tubes I can run a 12VDC input and use the same high-voltage setup as in my preamp pedals and I wouldn't need a power transformer.
