The UA is pretty special imho. I was a devotee of the Alembic / Fender Showman circuit for the longest time but now am preferring the UA for live for the additional depth in both saturation when pushed, the little bump of low end and high end sparkle. @Sushi Box FX created a really special hybrid with the UA and I hope to add a HWUA once available.
I'm still going to use my PA for recording in combination with the Southampton Ictineo, LBA 2020 and Finally the results are exactly what I love.
This entire site is literally a giant playground where we make friends with internet strangers so that there is always someone to blame when a box shows up at the door and your spouse sees it first.
It's a prerequisite to have giant shoulders when you join!

The UA is certainly one of the greatest sounding bass tones I’ve ever twisted out of a piece of gear.
Do the FlipTop and ME300 sound similar?
I have the FT & a Barber Linden pedal and love them both but curious about other Ampeg & tube inspired pedals,
Linden is a Baxandal tonestack by itself. Similar to many Ampegs like the B-15.
FlipTop is also a Bax tonestack, with gain for some breakup if desired, and a Cab/speaker sim knob. Basically emulating the whole B-15 package instead of just EQ.
ME300 is based on the Ampeg SVT, which also uses a Bax/James tonestack, but with some different tweaks.
For Sushi’s offerings, Slampegg is more akin to the B-15 preamp, but can get some SVT style tones.
SBVT is the Ampeg SVT based preamp.
With what you already have, if you want more like Linden and FlipTop with a tube, go for the Slampegg.
Underground Accelerator will be the most different from your current Ampeg/B-15 style pedals, and based on the Fender/Alembic tonestack.
SVBT will be more Ampegy, but different from the B-15 based options you’ve got, and more akin to the ME300 with a tube.

Peavey did some pretty amazing and ground breaking things with Solid State preamps and amps.
The Century and Centurions, as well as many of the solid state guitar preamps like the Bandit, etc are surprisingly good!
I had an old Peavey Mark IV amp that sounded great and was built like a tank. It's long gone now, and I don't miss it, but we put it through some serious abuse while it was in the garage. Nobody needs a pedal version of that amp though. There's better places to focus your energy for sure.

A lot of people have had good luck with the duct tape trick or wrapping a rubber band around the tube for extra grip. If you're careful and IF THE POWER SUPPLY IS NOT CONNECTED you can get a small flat-head screwdriver under the tube to get it started then pull it out the rest of the way with fingers.
Power supply for my Space heater came yesterday and finally had a chance to check it out for a couple hours last night. Totally digging it. I'm normally not into pedals at all. However, I'm absolutely loving this thing, just what I was looking for. I see this as an always on pedal for that lovely tube warmth I've been craving the past few months. It overdrives great also (though that's not my thing). It sounds fantastic with both active and passive basses. Nathan thanks again for a great pre.
Funny I was thinking this morning about how nice a GK 400/700/1001 RB II preamp in sushi box form would be...
@funkinbottom Space Heater is definitely yummy. Mine will probably be dedicated as a very mild OD after Slampegg X and Partical Accellerator X preamps... that way I can keep my precious cleans, clean ;-)
