You may want to PM Aged Horse about tubes. He's done a lot of research on longevity and reliability and such. Working for Mesa, and Genz Benz before that, his experience is with large scale of production, so the tubes he chooses must be consistent and reliable. Even if what he uses doesn't translate to what's available for you, data points are fun.

I already built a shopping cart at Tayda. If I could figure out how to make it a public cart I would. Used to do that at Mouser for pedal builds. Figured I would go with Tayda since @Sushi Box FX was kind enough to share the links. If you want the link I'll be happy to send it to you.

Speaking of which, just listed Space Heater PCBs as available in the shop. Also restocked the Black Eye PCBs.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm ordering for a few builds and I have a mouser cart going, filling in the gaps of components I already have.
I already have a supply 1n5 50v caps. I had a feeling they would be ok, but after seeing the cap was for the power supply section I thought it best to confirm it didn't need to be so high.

Always good to be sure. It's on the low-voltage side of the power supply, it's one of the components that sets the oscillator frequency that controls how high the voltage goes. I think it could even realistically go as low as a 16V cap, but since 50V and 100V are easy to come by no reason not to go bigger.

Mouser is my regular go to as well... it's just down the road from me and all deliveries are next day since they're so close. However it was so easy to build a cart with Tayda so I figured I would give them a try.

So,
I gravitate towards "big" sounding basses.

Mainly G&Ls, a Fender with '60s inspired T-Bird pickups, and a Rickenbacker.

With the DW, I now have an always on, "big" sounding preamp to match them.

My basses + the DW = big, fat, clear, articulate bass tone.

A solid foundation for any additional effects.

Quick (hopefully last) July update:

The problem with the HW Dr. Wattsons turned out to be literally the first thing I checked for, so it shouldn't take me long to get them all taken care of and boxed up. That just leaves one HW Finally and two HW SS then July is finished. I'm optimistic that I can get it all finished tonight.

Man, just not enough hours in the day (night). I got all the HW DW's finished up and shipped out, and the HW SS boards are fully assembled and ready to be boxed, but I just didn't have time tonight. So I still have the two HW SS and the one HW Finally that failed test and needs a deeper look, but everything else has shipped. Crossed fingers for tomorrow.

Oh right, I was going to close ordering last night and I forgot :P DW is an excellent sounding preamp, as I ran 5 of them through testing last night I started to think a UA/DW two-channel preamp would be absolutely killer.
