In the world of pedal boards, there is nothing sadder than an under-powered tube pedal.

I believe you shorted power to ground. Someone (@Sushi Box FX) doesn't always use the same color wire for the same purpose, and your power ground is red and your 9vdc is black, which is opposite of the colors in the photos. @Sushi Box FX probably should put that in the doc: pay attention to pins and pads, not wire colors.
So you took the 9vdc line, and tied it to ground. Move that wire back, move your red power jack wire over to ground. You should have moved the left pad, not the right.
Yup, that gets a whoops from me. The vast majority of Sushi Box work has been done by me, and I always do it the same way every time. But occasionally my wife comes down to help with soldering, and there was a brief period when I employed my niece as well. I distinctly remember having the conversation with one of them (can't remember which) where I said it doesn't matter which color power wire goes where because the pedal will work with either polarity. So that's obviously on me.Got all my Sushi Box pedals modified to the Polarity Protection Fix!
One casualty. My Underground Accelerator is non-functioning.
Attached is a gut shot. I based the changed wire connection on the Early X-Series Pedal. Perhaps the wire connection should be based on another pedal?
Since this is the kind of thing I think about a lot (I really like tubes), I can give my opinion.
I would probably run Space Heater before Particle Accelerator, as that will get you pretty close to how an actual amp would be staged. Keep the Level on the SH around noon, Gain on the PA around noon (or maybe a little less on both), then use the SH Gain knob as your gain control and the PA Master control as your master volume, and consider it one higher-gain preamp. Gets you a more complex and thicker gain tone from the SH pushing the front end, but still doesn't overwhelm everything down the road if you keep the SH gain under control. Pretty good start to an ampless rig in my opinion.
As soon as they're donenate, when are Octobers pedals shipping?
Well it looks like it's about time to think about opening November ordering. Anybody want some pedals?
I will be giddy if I get mine before my gig next Friday! Giddy, I say!!!As soon as they're done
All enclosures are milled-powdercoated-printed, working through circuit boards right now, then final assembly and testing. Depending on how much I can get done in the next couple days I may be able to start shipping as soon as monday, but I can't promise anything at this point.

Yes, the plan is to have SBVT II, Glass Butterfly, and Echosaurus Valve up for the November batch. I'm pretty sure they're good to go, but I've been bitten by "pretty sure" in the past so I'm taking more time for testing.Stoked for the SVT and Butterfly, those going to be in the next batch?
My CIOKS DC10 only has 1 output that does more than 400ma, any issue if I run this on an output at 400ma at 12v? I have Dr. W in the one that goes up to 800ma.
Lol you must have jumped onto it while I was still in the process of opening. Refresh and try again. I just barely finished opening it and I have to go through the models one at a time, UA is last alphabetically so you just got there before me.
I would like to do HW Black Eye II but it's not an immediate priority, so if it does happen it will be a ways down the road. It took more work than I expected to get Black Eye II to the place where I wanted it to be both sound-wise and stability-wise, and a handwired version will be the same thing but more work. Maybe sometime next year, definitely not soon.Got it! Thanks bud! Also -- you just had to go and offer the Black Eye II this month eh? Now I gotta think about getting both!!!
Question though -- do you plan to offer HW on the BEII? Also, any updates on that none more black option? May hold out for either/both of those options
Ordering is open now for November. Changes this month:
- HW Elementary is now available

Any chance we can get a description (or sound samples) of the BE II?
- Black Eye II is now available (and will get pictures when I get home from work today, forgot to grab them last night)
I can get sound samples tonight for bass, which is what you care about anyway, but I'm between guitars at the moment so I won't be able to get those for a bit.
