The question for me is not DO I need another SB pedal, with a only a UA, the question is what do I get next? I was leaning DW or Detective, but now I'm thinking the BEII might pair better as clean/dirty pair with the UA.
BEII will definitely get dirtier than DW, if that's a factor you're looking at. If you're planning on keeping the UA as your "clean" then BEII makes a good pairing, but something to bear in mind is that BEII doesn't do clean at all, whereas Dr. Wattson has a lovely clean tone in addition to the moderate dirt it generates.
I mean that's exactly what it's designed for, so it's a solid one for that. There are others that will do it do a degree as well, pretty much any of the single-tube units can do a nice "tube warmth/fattening" when running clean. More is special though, it has a character none of the others do due to the parallel tube stages.
Naturally this comes with the usual disclaimer, it's my job to sell things and More costs more (lol) than most single tube pedals. So just about anything will work (aside from things like Black Eye II and Lab Rat), but if all you're looking for is tube warmth and heft, More is going to be hard to beat.

Understood. I'm sure it sounds mega even as SMD. Luckily, I told my guitarist that has a BE1 that you're doing the BE2 this month and he jumped right on one. So I'll be able to get my hands on it directly before snagging my own to see how well it plays with my setup.
In the meantime, I'll be counting the days until my HWUA shows up
(I also already want a MORE...)
The MORE is great and you won't be disappointed.
I'm curious if there's anyone here that has a More that also has an Edison to compare to?

I was really trying to decide between the DrW/Elem, UA, or MORE. UA felt like the right choice though for my first order.

@Sushi Box FX I must say that the Echosaurus valve not having input gain or an output volume is a serious issue. A big thing that makes this type of delay so appealing is the ability to play the delay time, regen, age, mix, heads and volumes as parts of an "instrument" for doppler and other sound effects especially given it's larger size and inclusion of tube stages that could attract synth and electronic music enthusiasts. my 2 cents.
I have a Westinghouse that I'm not using at the moment.
I've never played with it live yet -- just at a rehearsal or two and around the homestead.
My goal was to use it in conjunction with other pedals to emulate a String bass sound. I got fairly close (I used to play string bass). But since my band really has no need for string bass, I haven't continued to regularly use / experiment with it.
Understood. The goal for this was to be as simple to operate as possible though, and the vast majority of commercial delays (at least that I'm familiar with) are hard set for unity gain with no option to boost whatsoever. This is a crowded design in what I consider to be the largest pedalboard-friendly box, and adding another control to the face would likely mean moving to a bigger box, which means less convenient and higher cost. Putting the level control internal on a trimpot isn't the perfect design choice, but it seemed to me to be the best choice available as far as a good balance of flexibility, usability, size, and cost.
To be sure, an impressive cache of intriguing pedals on offer for November.

So can anyone see the pictures of Black Eye II, The Detective, or Glass Butterfly on the website? I uploaded them and can see them on the admin side, but when I just browse the website the pictures aren't showing up.
