Glad you got a finally dude! It's awesome isn't it!Got lucky in the classifieds with a Finally trade and have been really happy about it so far!
Are you running the HPF before the Finally? I assume you'd need to if you're going DI out? Or, it would be possible to select the Pre Out through the 1/4 out, but then the balanced out wouldn't be getting the HPFed signal.

Yea I've been looking hard at that new DI with the features, I remember hearing it was going to be in a larger enclosure, which is the only drawback as I have limited space on my board. Thanks! It definitely is! Working it into my setup and figuring out combinations. I was using either the Slampegg or PA front of chain, but not sure I need to with the Finally acting as preamp as well. Lots of options. Definitely making me excited about the Finally+ listed in @Sushi Box FX "Coming Soon" tab! Also, the Xotic RC Booster meshes really well with every Sushi Box I've thrown at it.

Considering the "Everything and the Kitchen Sink" feature set y'all are looking for it has gotta be in a big box. Oh yeah and of course Hand Wired too!Right, that's definitely a factor. Hoping it's medium-sized, then!

I hope they arrive soon!As a doubler myself I can tell you the combination of the Finally and HPF are about the most perfect setup ever created for a compact, do exactly what I need, kind of rig.
Edited to add... The only other thing would be an A/B switchable input. That way I don't have to use an external switch or swap cables.
Oh whoops, you're absolutely rightBlack Eye II already forgotten about…![]()
The XLR jack and DI transformer alone both take up a substantial amount of room, just adding another tube would mean I need to go to the larger (Smoke Signal/Detective) size enclosure. If you take a look at the guts of Finally you'll see that it BARELY fits in that box, any reasonable amount of features means bigger.Right, that's definitely a factor. Hoping it's medium-sized, then!
In Slampegg the tonestack comes at the very end, after both gainstages (single 12AX7 tube).thanks for the suggestion!
however I'm a minimalist, don't use any effects usually, and would rather use one preamp sitting on top of my little power amp on an upright-only gig anyways.
I use a (trinity) b15 a lot, but would rather haul around a wizzy 10 and a tinny homemade class D power amp (like a "straight ahead 500" except its a 1200w/4ohm, like a demeter minnie? I think). I just need a tube frontend for it which would work for either UB or EB gigs and recording.
a handwired furthermore would put my AI focus on the shelf for a LONG time and simplify my needs tremendously....
@Sushi Box FX:
is/are the tube/s before or/and after the tone stack? (one difference between an early 60's and a 70's b15)
two tubes or one? pre/buffer would be nice, like a more, would also make it a sort of hybrid with tone in the middle.
6SL7/5691 would be ideal and pairs pretty ok with a bax stack. smoother than 12a tubes.
a headphone output may be useful one day, but definitely not something I'm after.. especially if it means real estate considerations.
10Mohm input would be awesome.
effectrode blackbird has a useful layout for three tubes, if thats not something you've seen.
I can keep going, let me know if you want a tester.![]()
Need opinionated advice.

Piiiiiiiink!!!
I'd go with blue or green which would play off the paint, but all of the LED colour choices would look great IMHO.

If I had a dollar for every time my wife has said those words I would have zero dollars, so I guess I do have a dollar for every time she's said those wordsThank you so much for your tinkering Nathan.
Mike and I have been talking about it, I have a prototype on my workbench right now, thanks for reminding me I need to email him today.
I probably knew about the 20SX before you did![]()
