I actually find it encouraging that the SBVT is undergoing rigorous evaluation. The world doesn't need another Semi-ampeggy tone box that makes you say "OOOH" in the first 30 seconds but begins to show its limitations and shortcomings over time. I'd rather wait and have something incredible. It's worth it.

I’m listening, what sorcery are you referring to? Also, am I the only one who never touched the low / high rocker switches on the svt? I noticed they are on the slampegg which is what steered me to the PAX as my first dabble into the SB stuff

The PAX is an excellent choice, the PA micro tube version was my first (and many others) and still favorite for recording. The PA based on the Fender Showman / Alembic F2B preamp uses a well designed gain stage and easy to use tone stack that can vary from sparkling clean to just a bit crunchy. The Underground Accelerator is a @Sushi Box FX development and IMHO an improvement.
The Slampegg based on the B15 has a bit more grit and is favored for R&B, rock and other music seeking warmer tones. The SVT as the bigger brother is rock all the way. The sorcery is that Senor Sushi is always striving to improve his products as can be seen by the constant evolution, every month he seems to have a new product as well as several on the bench with planned improvements like the SBVT2 and the JC Emerald2. On the SBVT he wants to improve both the mid range and the ultra switch selections iirc.

@jaibeau Dreamcatcher I think is what TP may have been referring 2. As I understand it, an Underground Accellerator and something new in a 2 channel switching pedal. The new channel having more gain on tap.

I'm hoping that one side or the other - or both included the tone stack defeat switch. If only one side, for me it would be the Fender on full time amd the gain side switchable. That would allow me (or you) to gain balance between a Fender RCA like tone stack and something fully transparent. That could really be something!

@Sushi Box FX any thoughts about the above ?

My HWUA was marked as delivered today but it seems it's been put in somebody else's mailbox... USPS said best they can do is hope that whoever does receive it brings it to me or that they can find it tomorrow...

I was thinking about the same thing when I received my MORE today. All that buildup and…nothing. (and I am talking about uninvited critters hitching a ride in the bag…no Shelob escorted the pedal, but I fully expect the MORE to be worth the buildup)!

Can anyone run through their recommended settings for the MORE? Sorry, couldn’t resist! But I do actually need to look for the setting for the Slampegg.

So regarding the use of something like the Finally. How does one figure how to set it? , since its very rare for me to even hear how the FOH sounds during a soundcheck etc...

I usually toggle between the "dry pass" and "pre out" to hear what the pedal is doing and match my dry signal, etc.

ah, so you are really setting it to your stage rig and assuming its close to same at foh.

I’ve quickly found my favorite More application. Driving the input of other dirt pedals at 3-4 o’clock on the knob. It feels like at least 10-12 db of boost, but unlike a transparent boost, it triggers all this wild harmonic content and compression. So far it’s played extremely well with a Sentinel, Gnomeratron, ODB, MBD-1, Prunes and Custard clone, and a Witchfinder. Such a satisfying and meaty way to use it.

If you bypassed the EQ on the Elementary, would you get the same response as a Space Heater?
Or are the gain stages different enough to yield a different result?
