Well that's a really good question. I currently have the Slampegg X prototype sitting on my shelf, but I don't have a normal one. A friend of mine was surprised when I told him that I don't keep one of everything as a personal stock, and for questions like this I think it would probably be a good idea.

Yeah, also looking forward to it as I ordered a Slampegg but am in a quandary if what I really want is a PA. I've got time to decide on that with an April drop.

Having said that I may completely zig zag and change it to a Robot Butterfly. Or an Echosaurus.

Well I just made a big step I wasn't sure I would ever make: I filed for an LLC. I've sold more pedals in the last couple months than the rest of my pedal-building years combined, so I figured it was time to go legit and give the tax man his due. Also now I can write off the CNC, the UV printer, and all my parts orders as business expenses. Oh, maybe I can write off the Noble and the LA-1A too

I just got a PA for April, but I would also buy a tube warmth giver in a heartbeat. I love my Edison running last in chain

Awesome. And incidentally, we're moving to the Bay in July. Wife just started remotely at Stanford but we're not moving until my school year is done and also covid reasons. I'll agree Slampegg is a little noisier, as it is a gainier design in general. The way I think about it, if you know that's exactly the sound you're looking for then you'll love Slampegg. If you want literally anything else you'll love Particle Accelerator or London Underground.

That’s odd. I always found the PA to have a higher noise floor and hiss. My Slampegg is extremely quiet even over a power supply.

Ha. I actually had a huge revelation in the last week. I finally realized I’m not a Fender/Alembic tone stack fan. I sold the PA and I’m going to sell my Mesa D-180 head. That being said, the PA still sounds great! I just preferred the Slampegg over it.
