The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Speaking of More, I just received mine on Friday! I'm very happy with it so far. The impact is about as subtle as I was expecting when placed after my compressor. But I'm pleasantly surprised at how full/obvious you can get things sounding when placing More at the start of the pedal chain (using a passive J bass).

So far I've mostly been messing around with it pre-compressor, but I want to keep testing both.

What dial position do you all typically leave your More at, and which position in your pedal chain do you place it? So far, I've been running anywhere from 12-2 with More at the start of my chain. How about you?

I run it before comp around 1.

How about the Black Eye X? There’s one in the classified. Will it do mild or only wild?
Black Eye X can still do milder drive, but it uses the stock Soldano frequency response so it starts rolling off low end around 800Hz, whereas Black Eye II keeps the low end in tact down to 25Hz.

It's my o.g. Black Eye X for sale *cough* that @furym is referring to.
If I sent that in to you, could you mod it for a healthier bass response? Or if it's just a matter of changing out a few components I could try it myself. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss.

I love the way it sounds on guitar, but on bass I prefer it in a loop with a clean blend.

It's basically a matter of swapping out some small caps for some much bigger caps. I've actually done it for someone before, so I could do it if you want me to. Or if you're comfortable with SMD soldering I could walk you through it.

I’ve been going back and forth on my next Sushi acquisition as an alternative to my HW Slampegg Bee Pre; Elementary/The Detective or Underground Accelerator/Dreamcatcher. I’ve been struggling trying to reach a decision based on the limited demos available online. Well, my man @Xad surprised me a couple of days ago with a package containing his HW Elementary and his Underground Accelerator to get some hands-on experience with both, allowing me to make a much more informed decision rather than going in (almost) completely blind.

So, HUGE shoutout to @Xad for the insanely kind, unexpected surprise! I love TalkBass and the community we’ve got going on here! Such an amazing group of people around here!

Please report back with some reviews (or maybe even audio clips)!

I am also considering which flavor pre-amp I may want to pick up after being so happy with my More. I would love to hear some more bass audio of Elementary especially!

Have fun!

I think I just nabbed the last Nobelium. FOMO got the best of me. Now I wait to see if it shows up, or if I get an email from the Chef saying I just missed it!
I was considering pulling the trigger on it but my wallet can only withstand so much, just purchased a PF-50T :P
Glad another TBer got the last one though!
Still saving for the Grand Slampegg/Furthermore drops...

It will show up, you did indeed get the last one. I'll get it shipped out tomorrow.

I actually have two units that didn't pass testing so I removed them from the count, if I find time to figure out what's wrong with them they may show up at some point.
