Fun on a Sunday morning. (I'll disclose my score at some point. It's rather shocking. Intervention, anybody?)

If you scored 10-25 points, you may have light to moderate G.A.S. If you scored 25-50 points, you have serious G.A.S. If you scored over 50 points, you could fill the tank of a ’73 Buick with your G.A.S.

Do you spend more than 15 minutes a day gazing at the TalkBass classifieds? (5 points) I spend way too much time on TB in general.

Are you familiar with the current inventories of an online bass store? (5 points) I am always up to date on the used bass inventories on the websites of two of my local mom-and-pops. Check 'em almost daily.

Have you ever decided you *must* have a particular bass model without ever having played that model? (5 points) Early on, a Ric 4003. More recently, a Carvin B40 and a Schecter Stiletto Studio 8. And those are just the basses I've actually pulled the trigger on.

Do you find yourself becoming infatuated with bass colors – e.g. seafoam green lust or red fever? (5 points) Red with black. Classic sunburst. Natural.

Have you ever bought a model you’ve never owned before, say a Music Man StingRay, realized you’re not a StingRay person, sold the StingRay… and then later bought another? (10 points) Sort of. I'm dinging myself with this one anyway. I used to have an Ibanez P-bass copy, decided I wasn't a P guy, and traded it in. Years later, I bought a real Fender P.

Have you ever taken delivery of a great bass, played it a while and they returned to the classifieds to look at more great basses ? (10 points) Again, sort of. I just bought an Epiphone EBM-5. I took it to a party that night, and there was a guy there who wanted to sell me his Fender Jazz, but figured I was probably out of the market now that I had a new bass. I told him I was definitely still interested.

If you scored 25-50 points, you have serious G.A.S. 40 points for me.

And you didn't even talk about effects pedals! :help:;)

Do you spend more than 15 minutes a day gazing at the TalkBass classifieds? (5 points) If you spend more than 30 minutes a day on the TalkBass classifieds, add 5 points. If you spend more an hour a day staring at TalkBass, eBay, Craigslist and online vendor sites, add another 5 points. Yep. My computer routine is usually Talkbass-Sweetwater-The Perfect Bass-Bass Central, with some other non-music related sites thrown in. Occasionally GC is thrown into the mix as well.

Are you familiar with the current inventories of an online bass store? (5 points) Yep. Always aware of how many basses are in Sweetwater's Guitar Gallery.

Have you ever decided you *must* have a particular bass model without ever having played that model? (5 points) Practically every bass on my GAS list...

Do you think about basses before falling asleep at least twice a week? (10 points) The other night I couldn't sleep...instead of counting sheep I named all the bass related brands I could think of (from A to Z).

Do you find yourself becoming infatuated with bass colors – e.g. seafoam green lust or red fever? (5 points) Currently Lake Placid Blue, Seafoam Green, Surf Green, and Olympic White.

Have you ever taken delivery of a great bass, played it a while and they returned to the classifieds to look at more great basses ? (10 points) Yep. Mere moments after receiving (and playing) my Ibanez I headed to the classifieds/eBay...

I scored 50 points... :help:

Does this count multiply or just once a year?

55 for single offense
75 if thats a multiplier.

I sold my keeper 4 years later - 3 pts.

I sold a bass and WANT to buy it back, should I ever find it again: 3 pts.

so.. I guess 6 pts, every one of which is suspect. I want to build a matching pair of Awesome and put Fender-ish "Telebastard bass" decals on them both, but that doesn't even have a modifiable example in the list.
