Ohhhhhhhhh This LMII is sooooooooo NICE!!! The first thing I noticed is I'm going to have to move a bunch of stuff out of my office/den that never rattled with my other amps. This thing has BALLS, especially with the B string on my 5ers

Two of my basses that I was going to take apart and shield are silent with the LMII :) That's an unexpected bonus :bassist: These little amps are amazing!!

So yeah, lots and lots of threads on MarkBass lately(namely the LMII). I thought it was time we gather together a thread for Markbass lovers, owners, soon to be owners, and those poor souls who GAS for MB like none other. :smug:

You know the drill TB'rs. ;)

This CMD 121P has turned my world upside down like none other before it(except maybe a certain tube combo :ninja: ) Clear, defined, and can turn to a vintage tone machine with a swipe of a single knob, this sucker could probably even do the dishes. :D
Tell me about this bad boy. Loud enough to carry on with a drummer? What is the street price?

Kim

Dude, give me some credit! I've been workin' on that since NAMM! :smug:

You know I love you like the big brother with all the nice toys. ;) :D

Kim

Yes. Without a doubt. Loud enough to cut through the drummer, and an average/slightly loud guitarist. Street price is $850 plus tax.

Yeah! that's the one I want, right there - Next to the grey Jazz.

It's Inca Silver. :ninja: :p

As someone who's added to some of the TB hype with a few MB/LMII threads, I'll add my voice to the noise...and maybe later I'll get a shot of my LMII/1212/HT115 rig up...

After having this amp for more than a month now, I have NO problems with it. I was a bit worried after going from a large tube head to this little guy (500w), but no need. Even my very traditional guitar player has been saying he'd like a similar guitar amp.

I've finally dialed in a reggae tone I love that everyone else loves too. I love that I can go to a modern full-range tone in seconds with very little knob tweaking. I've never had a head that sounded so good for finger playing, pick playing and slapping. Low, loud and clean works great with this amp too.

I like the fact that I've pushed the amp to fairly high volume and don't feel like I've come close to hitting a headroom ceiling or even pushed the volume that hard yet.

Once I start playing I don't feel the need to change my settings, make fine adjustments or mess with anything! I've been recording practice with my laptop and the DI out on the amp, and it sounds as good recorded.

ok i really really want a markbass rig

How to Purchase Your Very Own MarkBass Rig!

By SundanceChile

Step 1: GAS for a MB rig.

Step 2: Withdraw from savings account and run to your nearest GC to purchase MB rig of choice.
-Article 1: If you have no money in your savings account, sell some of your gear you never use anymore to fund said rig.
-Article 2: If you have no gear to sell, get a job and save up for said rig.
-Article 3: If you are unable to find a job, beg parents for money.
-Article 4: If parents will not fund said rig, ask Santa Claus.
:D

Needless to say, I fell under Article 1. :smug:

Anyone have any experience with the cmd 102p combo? It's the only one that is front ported. Just wondered if there was any difference in sound.

I put a deposit down on a new LMII after playing one in my local GC. It's the perfect amp for my club/bar gigs. The salesperson thought it was 599 plus the price of the warranty, but I made sure to inform him about the warranty being included in the $599 price, and he agreed. I'm very excited :hyper: .

Just curious where are you guys in the states getting your markbass gear? I'm really interested in a LMII head and would like to try one out if possible. also how much is a LMII selling for in the US?

I got mine at Guitar Center in Towson , MD - the other ones in my vicinity said they were special order - as you can imagine these are on the shelf only for a few days.

I'm really interested in the little mark II. The next time I go into the GC in nashua and they have one I'm buying it. New Hampshire=no sales tax :)

I know I could ask them to order one(or maybe they have one now, I never go in there) , but that would make me spend my money now, and I'm hoping I can hold off for a little longer and raise some more money up for the bass toy fund.

do you leave them in there when you play?

does the foam surrounding limit the headroom of the cabs?

I keep em in there for most shows, last weekend we had a smaller gig so I just brought the 104 with me tho, as far as the sound goes I can't tell any difference, it sounds great. I just wheel it into our trailer and don't ever have to worry about it getting scuffed up or anything.
