PS: How could it get better than a V-8 for that price & some of the best bier in the world!!!

I'm only 1.5 hours away from Munich. Sadly, it's in the wrong direction though.

I'm really conflicted about this as well, I've had V8 GAS for quite a while, and this is probably the only chance I'll get. I just don't know how I would make it work out with work and all.

You know, none of you are making this any easier. If the price stays really good I might just have to bid anyways and figure out a way later.

well, if i promise you it'll be in good hands, will you let me get away with it? the conflict-thing kind of disappears here. a day off to get it is no problem, the money's not really a problem, and perhaps it's just a good reason to get a soon-gigging band. the V8 GAS is here too... but i still think i'd prefer a new-style V4. ah well, that's where the half-power switch is for i suppose.

what do you guys think i have to pay for a used V4?

well, i believe there's two series. the older ones have one preamp channel and no compressor. the earliest of that type are plainly called v-type. i've got one of those, it has 4 output tubes. later on this design was renamed V4. the older V6 is the same as the v-type with 2 extra output tubes. then there's the new version with shiny knobs, two channels and a compressor, and i believe they made that one with 4, 6 and 8 output tubes, respecively called V4, V6 and V8. i believe the clean channel and the overall electronic design are basicly the same in all v-type amps.

on the V8 then: 30 minutes, still no other bids. i'm getting all nervous and stuff!

hey trace guys

recently bort the ah300 12 band (played a trace gp combo b4 that \m/) playin thru a 2x10 and 1x15
had it for like 3 weeks and it fried itself..

its in for warranty repair and i spoke to the tech the other day and he told me the main power outboard shorted..
hes ordering parts in from melbourne
what exactly does this mean? why did it happen? is it going to have negative effects on the amp in the future after repair??
im really worried.. this gear isnt cheap in aus ( and besides it was the only trace amp in my city!!!)and i sacrificied a whole lot to get it.. i dont wanna be getting a short straw with dodgy equipment..
please help

I wanted to bid ont this one. Very tempting. Nice case too. But then I asked myself what I would do with another amp, when I need new bass.

I just ordered a GP12 SMX preamp from Music Go Round (online, and for a very good price!), and I think that it will look and sound great with my VR350!
