Planet boulder...wow!! Nice rigs.

I was just playing around with my AH250 7-band, and I decided to really push it and see what It could do. Something I've alway been afraid to do, since its loud as hell with the gain on 1 and input on 2. So I cranked the eq settings up about +5 what I normally have them on. Without even adjusting the gain or input the thing was blowing my eardrums thru a 2x10 cab.
Conclusion = This little amp packs a serious amout of power!! :hyper:

The band I'm in is rather loud, mainly because our drummer hits the skins hard (and VERY well, might I add!). We have a guitarist who plays through a Fender tube amp a keyboard player as well. For practice, I use my AH350 head through a 1x15 and turn it about halfway up, which isn't much, all things considered. The scary thing? That particular head is one of the least powerful Traces I've played through, all else being equal.

At indoor gigs, when I use my main Trace rig, I usually turn it up about 2-3 notches (and that's when it isn;t miked or DI'd).

Traces really kick it.

Yeah man...Same here. My drummer plays real hard. Plus I'm playing next to a triple rectifier half stack, and a 5150 half stack. At practice or live I use that same rig w/ another 15" cab. And I usually put the gain on 2 and the out put level on 3-4 max. And it is loud as hell.

Since this is my first and only Trace, It really makes me wonder about the 12 bands like the AH500 or AH1000. Those things must be insane.

my first combo was a 100 watts gp7/1x15. I`ve sold it to some unknown reason, just to buy a 200 watt gp7 head few moths later. Nothing sounds quite like it, it`s a perfect match to my guitarist crunch-twin reverb-strat tone and my current bass/playing style.

everytime i go and try other amps, I find myslef equing it to emulate the TE low midrange bark and definition... with little success :D

i`ve recently had an occasion to play a gig with a v6 head, and damn, was I happy...

Just had an opportunity to get my amp family together in one spot over the weekend and decided to take a picture of the brood. Makes me realize I've probably got more power than I need at the moment... but each of these things is great and I'd have a very hard time parting with any one of 'em.

Prominently situated at the top of the heap in the picture is the mighty Trace V6. Have only gigged a few times with it so far, but so far I'm lovin' it. Just had a tune-up from British Audio Service and it sounds killer :D

Nice collection of gear! Care to give us the full "compare and contrast?" ;)
