This - the most mentally-stimulating bass line I can think of. When I play it, my mind absolutely races, and it feels amazing:
"Mr Limousine Driver" "Inside Looking Out" "We're American Band" or just about anything by Grand Funk.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough was close. But for me, it's Jackson 5: "Darling Dear". Without hesitation or doubt.

Obviously, this is an impossible question. But at the moment, my first reaction is:
Billie Jean. Simple and very effective...sets the tone for the whole song.
