The Valenti Megathread (Mk. II)

It's a Sadowsky preamp w/VTC.

*slaps own forehead* I was looking for a battery snap in the cavity, and completely obliviously overlooked the wires leading to the battery door. :rollno: I was also puzzled because I didn't remember the Sad pre I had looking like that, but then I remembered I had never actually opened up the control cavity of the bass it was installed in.

I wish I could blame it on smoking something that kills brain cells -that would have at least been enjoyable- but no, just a moment of duhhhh...

Well, this one should be on its way to me shortly:hyper:

That'd be the one, I'm pretty sure. I just sent Nino the payment for it, so I hope he doesn't mind that I'm posting it here already.:hiding:

I've been dying to try one of these basses for a long time, but the timing's just never been right for me, until now. And then this one popped up---with an ash body AND an ALL-WENGE neck (I'm a big fan of wenge necks and/or fretboards), so I couldn't let it pass by.

So, hopefully by the time I get home from Cleveland next week, it should be here waiting for me.:)

I just got this bass from Rob.
Should have it in a few days?
Oh, the wait !! GAS !!!!

Just got bass.
It is real pretty.

Wenge' neck is the bomb. (Plays great)
First time I've played the "Big Singles".
They sound great. (Super big, Jazz tone)
Sadowsky pre-amp adds color.

Big, bright, defined, tone.
Very full.

Will test run at gig fri. night.

Thanks, to Rob.
