I actually had to tell Nino to hold on to mine for an extra week while I was unable to take delivery!!! Who ever heard of telling a builder not to ship the bass just yet? :p Anyway it should be here Saturday or Monday.

And I can't stop picking it up.
It made me late for work today. :eyebrow:

Its an amazing instrument and I'm very proud to own a Valenti bass.
I've posted a review in here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5772659#post5772659

Here's a picture of my bass:

And mine arrived on Saturday! I've been working long days so I've barely had any time to play it yet, and the rain has made photo-taking difficult. But it's everything I hoped! It weighs in at under 8 lbs, and yet the balance is perfect. The neck is super comfortable- round enough to have a solid feel without too much flex, yet smoothly sloped in a way that doesn't dig in to my thumb and doesn't "feel chunky". The tone is super buttery smooth and warm. I actually had no real idea what the tone would be like, since there are no reviews out there of this Nordstrand humcanceling "single coil style" pickup yet, I just took a gamble on it. Turns out this is the sex machine bass! It has the Isaac Hayes, Barry White vibe all the way, the perfect tone for slow jams and "quiet storms". The low B is more fundamental than harmonics (especially as its strung with flats), but it's strong and clear. I'm thinking I may put a half-round or Elixer on the B just to get a bit more harmonic voicing out of it. Anyway, here she is!

I'm pretty sure I have the first Nord 5 string single coil. It's not hum canceling, and I had it wound to ~10kohms: it's hot and nasty with rounds on. Right now I have LaBella 760FL5's on there. Kick ass!

Great bass you got there.
