Wow Nino. I can't believe it's almost done. You work fast dude! I thought maybe late July into September. She looks better than I thought she would. That neck is gorgeous and the body is beautiful. Plus, those electronics are clean and the EMG's are gonna be killer! There's a chance I may have to have wrist surgery at the end of the month due to a work injury so it may be a month or two before I get to break her in but in the meantime it'll be a nice art piece next to my amp.:D

Thanks for the pics man!

Gorgeous bass. :bassist:

As we all know, there is that crucial early break-in period with Nino's
basses. In order to bloom to their full resonance potential, they need to
be lovingly played for several hours a day in a variety of styles. ;)

I am certain I am not alone in offering to help. I'd bet many other
Valenti players will gladly lend a hand for a brother. :D :D :D

I just finished my band's rehearsal with Valenti #27 P/J 5, and I have to say that it is quite the instrument.
Having had many, many great basses, I feel safe in saying that Nino's work compares favorably with the finest builders out there. Great feal, great weight, super tone - and I haven't even slapped my preference of strings on there yet!
Great work Nino! This will not be my last Valenti.

James

*Nothing* beats a Nino hair toss:

Nicely done!

1)....look at my avatar pic, and you'll know why I'm jealous;)

2)....I can still get those pickguards done, uhhhh....right?

Relicing is done.. This is the first Vintaged Valenti.

Huh. Possibly too subtle on the front face surface? I mean I get it that not everyone wants their relic to look thrashed, and too many relic-ers go way overboard; but it took me a minute to realize that this one was actually relic'ed at all. Just a thought.

Well as Nino found out the hard way.. You need very very good lighting and a lot of photos to properly show all the little nuances of a relic.

This is my personal bass and since its not of a say stock vintage arrangement the odds of it looking like that would be highly unlikely. So I went with some moderate roadwear versus 50 years of aging..

Again to see all the little details you will need alot of pictures. Here is some of the bass when I was finished with the paint and relic work.

I will have proper pics and lots of them with a review and some soundclips and more then likely a few videos tommorrow when I recieve it WHICH I AM GOING TO EXPLODE due to the gas pains haha..
