I'm interested to know how much these basses are moving around. I was briefly tempted to sell #51 several years ago and didn't; now I think I've settled in with it for the long haul. You gotta have a J, right, and I don't know what other I would want.
There's the very early Inca Grey one that Andy had, then it moved though a few hands. And of course the Geddy V that half the people on the board have owned. Those have passed around.
How many of us are the original owners of a Valenti with a lower number than 100?

Great bass, but, I've met very few PJ's I like.

yes, and my Band REALLY likes it as well.
The Orange one is a 2003 Fender American Deluxe V in Candy Tangerine. 10 Lber, all stock, and a nice contrast to the Valenti tone wise....

Well, I have to recent changes made to #141. One Good, and One not as bad as I thought!
First the "Bad". I was running late, and put the bass in the case, and tucked some "Goodies" in the zippered pouch on the soft Road Runner, and when I picked up the case I realized that I hadn't Zipped the case closed! The front of the case caught the bass, but after careful inspection I found the Slightest of Dings on the lower bouts, directly under the VTC. I may have done it before this, but it's official, I "OWN" this bass now!
(It's the little white Point below the glare)
Also, seeing the we play a considerable amount of songs in Dropped "D", I find that even with a 5-String it is often (although not Always!) convenient to have a D-Tuner on the E-String. But after purchasing a D-Tuner for a 4 string I discovered that the Activator had MAJOR clearance issues with the B-String tuner. Well, Did I mention I have an Engineering degree? And a Grinder?!? No, I didn't have to use the grinder. But I did add a spacer to the activator arm, and with a Longer 8-32 Allen head screw the contact point for the activator arm is now Above the adjustment screw of the D-Tuner, and everything works just fine! Total cost for the modification? 98 Cents!
Here you can see the spacer, and the new contact point.

Thanks! Yes, the ding is no big deal. And this bass is gong no where until I put quite a few more on it first.
I'm waiting patiently for #146 to arrive to me. Missed it the last time it went on Classified so there was no chance I wasn't going to have it when it appeared once more. Am buying blind as I've never played a Valenti before but reading on here I don't think there's much of a chance I won't love it!
