Soon to order a similar one with different specs.

dang these are beautiful!! I will have Nino build a 5 string Jazz one of these days!!
When it comes to specs, have any of you hearing him turn down/refuse anything in regards to string spacing (nut and bridge), neck profile etc?
I have a couple 35" scale/17mm spaced Spector 5'ers and would like to have him do something with comparable specs, but with a modern J flare.
I specified my string spacing, scale, neck radius/profile and Nino had no issues at all with what I wanted...dang these are beautiful!! I will have Nino build a 5 string Jazz one of these days!!

1961 King Moretone. It was never "finished" at the factory. Kansas City luthier bought it at a trade show in KC minus the top and fingerboard. Carved a top and fingerboard for it, and voila! King hybrid.
Awesome! Thanks for the info! I'm not gonna ask for anything crazy, but have had a pretty distinguished local builder tell me he didn't want to do a 35" Jazz, because A) HE preferred 34" and B) he felt his 34" basses had had better resale, yet I know he's made 32", 33" 34" and 36" scale basses. It was just an odd exchange from a guy who has builds fully customizable basses.![]()
