The Valenti Megathread Part IV

I had nothing better to do today other than watch football and bug Nino. :)

The neck and body of my 5er are with Pat Wilkins and it is starting to look very very cool IMO.

This bass may not be for everyone, but I wanted something a little different and funky but not completely over the top. Plus, I have black, brown and other "normal" coloured basses. I wanted something different for a change.

I placed my order about 4 1/2 months ago and the bass should be in my hands in about 2-3 months.

I like it!! Very cool! Congrats!!! I gotta get my next Valenti going soon!

Anyone have a rough estimate on build time?
I placed the deposit for my VTP5 in January and took delivery in September.

How are Nino's Precision-style basses? Looking for a four string in nitro, if possible.
Mine's fantastic!! Under 8 pounds, plays like a dream and sounds wonderful! Tone for days!!

"How are his P basses?"

As good as everything else he builds, which is excellent.
I have a single coil P5 like Marks, and a PJ5: they're both top shelf.

The beauty thing about Nino is you can spec it any way you want. Some guys limit what electronics they use, or what woods, or what finishes.

Look at that hollow J5 I posted.
I called Nino with an idea, we talked about it, he built it.

If everything goes as planned, I'm hoping to have it completed by the early/mid January.
Great. Just when I have no money.:woot:

January would be awesome actually. Thanks Nino!

Great working with Nino so far in any case. It is just awesome when a builder says "I can do that!" to basically every request a prospective customer has. I had very specific radius and profile requirements, weird paint, etc.

The price was reasonable too.

I can't wait to play this thing.:bassist:

:bassist:After parting with #141 to Jim in Hawaii, there was admittedly a "V" shaped hole missing somewhere near where my Heart should be. (It's been suggested I don't have one...) Well, that hole has been filled as of Yesterday with the Spalted #092!

THis is Pretty close to how I would order a Bass. Swap the Ebony for Rosewood, and make the Blocks Real, and Voila!

Congrats!!! I'd imagine that "V" shaped hole was pretty big! Good for you!!

Had I been able, she would have been heading for Alabama! ;)
