Hey Chef, Is your Valenti PJ-5 , 18m or 19mm at the bridge and 1 7/8th's at the nut or 1 3/4th's at the nut?? Thanks.

You bet. Whats the serial number? Thanks. Owned #140 (PJ-5/passive/nordies) absolutely killed the Fender P w/ a B string. Was 18mm at the bridge and 1 3/4 at the nut. SO at home on the Sadowsky's Looking to have a Valenti built to replicate the bass w/ 19mm at the bridge and uncertain as to the nut. Thinking I could dig the smaller nut and normal for me 19mm is normal spacing at the bridge. Thanks again.

As the current owner of #140, Im glad you prefer 19mm at the bridge

Chef's Sherwood green VTP5 is 19mm at the bridge and 1-7/8 at the nut.

IIRC, the p/u placement of the Fodera was about 1/4" to the neck than standard PJ placement. When I built the bass for Adam, it had EMG PJ and sounded KILLER.

I was given the EMGs and Aguilar pre as well. Sounds pretty great as is, currently wearing chromes and sounds pretty near perfect as is, not sure I'll be motivated to try swapping them.

I usually place the p/u with 3 poles on the bass side (BEA) and the pu with 2 poles on the treble side. There is no right or wrong way.
