Oops! I did it again!!

Turning 50 this year and decided to celebrate the milestone with another Valenti bass! Here are the specs:

• T21-J5
• Alder body / maple neck
• 21 fret rosewood fretboard w/ clay dots
• 35" scale
• Aguilar AG 5J-60 pickups
• Passive electronics
• Traditional V-V-T controls
• Chrome Hipshot B bridge and tuners
• 19mm string spacing @ bridge / 1-7/8" @ nut

Can't say what the color is yet.. I started this thread to get input:

Which color would you choose?

And will reveal the color I chose when the bass is done.

A Nino Valenti Bass was my first high end custom bass.
This one was loaded with Sadowsky single coils and preamp, but I eventually ended up with a Sadowsky as well.
So I sent this Valenti back to Nino to get some Carey Nordstrand Blades and 2B preamp installed as I really wanted to try those.
He also updated the string retainer to a quick change unit, and added a spoke wheel truss rod adjuster, polished the frets, and some other stuff I’ve probably forgotten.
Sweet.
Nino is a good man doing good work.

I picked up a Valenti Modern with Sadowsky preamp and soapbars and I think I'm in love. Here she is:

One of my oldest and most favorite Nino Valenti Basses recently got a refresh.
Carey Nordstrand Blades pickups and 2B preamp to replace the Sadowsky single coils and preamp.
(Don’t flip out, I still have my Sadowsky MV5, so there was a bit of redundancy there)
I really like these!
Fat, punchy, and plenty bright on top.
Very nice.
Nino also replaced the old trussrod adjuster with a spoke wheel adjuster, added a quick change string tree, polished the frets, and some other little things.
Cool stuff.

I'll actually be putting in a Sadowsky preamp in my Valenti this weekend. Was very close to getting a Nordstrand or another Aguilar like in my other Valenti. In all honesty I think either choice would have been fine.

It sounds great, a little goes a long way. Very happy with my choice.
It turns out that getting these Valenti's have probably saved me a lot of money and time shopping for other basses since nothing else really comes close for me.

One of my biggest bass regrets was selling my Valenti years ago. I have remedied that today. Just put a deposit down. Here are the specs:

V21-J5
Alder body
Black Pearl
Black Pearloid Pickguard

1 7/8 Nut Width
maple fretboard
34 inch scale
Evo Gold vintage size frets
12" fretboard radius.

Hipshot B style bridge (19mm)
Chrome Hardware
Hipshot ultralight tuners
Dunlop straplocks

Nordstrand 2B preamp
Nordstrand Big Blade pickups.

Now the long wait begins..........luckily its a lot easier when you have some other nice basses to play while waiting....

My next bass will be a PJ5. My new Hard Rock/Metal band is writing originals and we'll also be playing some covers. IMO a P-style 5-string is almost a prerequisite for the styles I'll be playing and the tone I'll need. I'm thinking I'll be calling Nino and put down a deposit.
