This was a quickie on a Friday night; I'd just put roundwound strings back on mine after trying flats and not liking them much. One take and not my best video ever. The bass sounds nice tho.

I've had Valenti #199 for years, but I think this is the first time I've recorded myself playing it.



I also put in an order for a P about 2 months ago. Can't wait.

Played a great gig last night with my Valenti Jazz bass. The sound man at this particular club remembers that I usually play a MTD 535. He comes over in between sets and says the bass sounds great. His thoughts were as great as the MTD basses are (his words) the Valenti is easier to mix and sits a little nicer in the mix. I was running my Trickfish Bullhead 1K head completely flat. My bass has the Nordstrand 3b preamp and the big blade pickups. Everything on the bass was flat and just slightly favoring the bridge pickup. It's pretty cool when your stuff sounds this good without alot of knob twisting. The Valenti just does everything so well, from Halestorm to Miranda Lambert to Donna Summer to Foo Fighters.....I didn't have to switch basses once........meanwhile I laugh at my guitar players switching guitars, drop tuning, capos, acoustic, electric..........no thanks, I will stick with bass.......

Anyone want to share what new build they have coming? I've got a 5 string P-bass in the works, I figured it was time to get a P and see what all the fuss is about.

I bought number 257 in December: New bass day! (Valenti #257)

I don't have any pictures in action, though, as my band was on a short hiatus for a few months as one member's wife had a baby in January. We're getting back at it though.

It's one of my modern downsized J styled body. I've been using this body for a few years now.

Transparent red on flamed maple body. Scott send me a pic of a red bass he really liked and I send it to my finisher.
